Didn't he also claim he knew Trump was going to win after the Comey news conference?

yeah he always forgets the 11/5 post where he says it's impossible and that white people can't get it done. This was when silver had him still above 30%. To see how truly ridiculous thing1s thread is, replace mentions of trump with "5 or 6" and the election as rolling a die

I mean, this fiasco is on him. His base would've been salivating happy if he had just banned refugees from these countries for a few months - it would've been totally legal and no big deal in the grand scheme of things. Liberals like me wouldn't be happy with it, but you wouldn't have moderates and even some conservatives complaining about it. Instead he had to go maximalist and do a total entry ban so vague that even green card holders are getting caught up in it.

Creates an infinite amount of sob stories that only sociopaths on /r/altright are going to blindly be happy about. Even on the_donald some people are complaining.
 
I was actually prepared to grudgingly accept the initial draft of the order, when I thought it would only last a month, and not void reentry for current visa holders and (possibly) green card holders. Now he's extended it to 90 days and is leaving the door open for expansion and further extension. Obviously I am expecting the worst. This is where stupid liberals get it wrong, you should not expect anything but the worst out of Donald Trump. I feel totally justified in never giving him a chance and advocating total opposition. I knew this is how it would go from history.
 
Trump's fans never wanted a temporary total entry ban from Muslim countries. They wanted a permanent ban on further immigration from Muslim countries (actually I think most Trump supporters want a total ban on immigration from all non-white countries). It's both too broad for America and too narrow for his base.

You're a nice guy to say he forgets. Perhaps when he lost his mind after Trump won he did, but I think he is lying. Even after being shown the post, he will still deny it. Or spin it someway.
 
I mean does anyone seriously think a total reentry ban offers any meaningful improvement in security over a more limited order preventing new refugees or visas from being issued?
 
It's amusing how the NY Times et al. think that by telling us nobody is voting for Trump, everybody hates Trump, etc., is going to work.

That's the problem with executive orders. They're kind of the Tweets of law making lol.

And his Tweet needs tweaked in this instance. I have no problem, in principle, with temporary restrictions on immigration from problem countries.
