Mexico Cancels

Roughly .07% of GDP assuming no change in Mexico's GDP over the next 20 years.

Taking on that much extra debt would destroy the Mexican economy, it would shrink on a yearly bases. The percentage would go up every year.

The ENTIRE Mexican Government only has a tax revenue of about 3 Billion....

And Trump is asking them to pay 14 Billion for a project that adds 0 to the Mexican economy?

"Who gives a fuck about the President of Mexico?" TD #48

a) Every Mexican that cares about his own welfare.
Just as in the U.S. where President Trump's success means the success of all U.S. citizens, in Mexico the success of the president of Mexico is to the benefit of all citizens of Mexico.

b) Mexico has been both ally and trading partner for many years.
If Mexico crashes and burns, it's not going to greatly benefit the United States of America.

Moving the goal posts and can't even admit your math was way way wrong. GFY

It would be comparable to the United States taking on 35 Trillion in debt, but not pumping that into our economy but rather pumping it into Canada's economy.

No, if they take on a debt that is 5 times their yearly tax revenue, the economy will shrink, not grow...

No, a safer Mexico with solid trade partners will grow. Your cynicism would have been better suited to an Obama presidency, your cynicism now, is purely partisan.

Last time I checked, Mexico takes in almost 20% of GDP in tax revenue.

How much do you think that is, Mr. Math?

its cool. They dont have to take on the debt. We can just take it from remittances and the aid we sent them.

id expect there to be chaos if mexico crashes and burns. Good thing theres a wall :D

The cost of the wall is roughly 11% of Mexico's GDP.

Who thinks Mexico would be in a position to pay 11% of their GDP for the wall?

You continue to be confused...we simply don't give Mexico whatever it costs us to build the wall.....it costs us nothing and we don't even have to ask for it...
