because they have four walls and a roof......That doesn't answer my question. Why do it in the schools? Especially in a rural area.

Still got nothing I see.
I don't like progs preaching to their young captive audience and I don't like your people doing it either.
Do you have anything besides your dislike?

Not all schools do this across the nation but it depends on the demand from the demographics I think. If you are in Austin for example and there are 3,000 students in your high school then chances are the student body will be more diverse (race, religion, and things like that) than say my high school which had less than 300 students.
It sounds to me like you're justifying gang rule if the minority is small enough.
Actually the article mentioned it was elementary schools and middle schools not high schools so thats my mistake but the enrollment would still reflect the area.
still not very bright if you think a voluntary class is a captive audience.......Still got nothing I see.

And that's my point.

Yes, I do.
And you've never lived in a small town have you? You actually think this is about religion, don't you?
Who wants to bet Koran study would have slipped under the radar?
I will say though that even if my schools growing up were completely void of anything remotely religious it wouldnt have changed my love for Christ and my beliefs, and it probably wouldnt have changed any of my friends and classmates. But I do think it's ok for local communities to share something that connects them and for many many people in rural towns Christ is what connects them.
I have no problem with Bible study as long as Koran and Tora lessons are also allowed.

nope......lived about five miles outside of one though......27 kids in my senior class.....and no......I think its about parents running their local school board and letting all parents choose what they want......and one mommy who's precious five year old is unhappy because mommy won't let her do what the other kids are doing and mommy wanting to blame that on someone else.....
