He can make $400,000 worth of nickels from being president. No one's saying he shouldn't get what the job pays.

Smarter business people than me are talking about his possible conflicts of interest. I'll let them decide what's legal and what's not.

You liberals are just insufferable whinny babies that cry when you don't get your way. The reason is, liberals have "culture privilege." I'll be making a new post on this in the near future, but the long and short of it is, liberals grow up in a society where their beliefs are reflected back to them early on in the educational system, from elementary to liberal academia. Nearly all music, art, movies, reflect liberal attitudes and beliefs. Liberals are not used to being challenged, and thus meltdown when their worldview isn't confirmed.

And just to be clear, before you deny "culture privilege" I would just like to point out that those with privilege are often blind to it. Please check your privilege.

The Emoluments clause goes to preventing gift payment for attempting to buy foreign influence.

I realize neither you or I are experts here, but making money-even foreign money- surely wasn't supposed to be prohibited by the Founders.

you do realize trump has a lot of moderate and even liberal positions on policy right? Take for example the TPP. Many democrats were against it and he just killed it today. Bernie is praising him.

legitimate opposition is expected -but de-legitimization isn't 'legitimate opposition'..if that makes sense.
It goes against American values, and no matter how bad the Repubs did it -it's not a legitimate strategy.
Unfounded de-legitimization needs to end -John Lewis or not.

The radical left doesn't care about how they de-ligitimize Trump; but decent US citizens always give a new POTUS a chance.

If they would just slow down and take deep breath lol, they would realize they can get concessions out of him. That's always been the worry about Trump, I don't give a crap about his Tweets; my fear is he'll give away the store in trying to make deals with democrats.

It's a lot deeper than that. Trump ran a campaign based on hatred, division, and overt lies. Now people are outing every single lie and deception, and they're marching in the streets as he gets on t.v and claims that he has some sort of mandate. The people have had enough of the campaign, and are waiting for him to start acting like the POTUS.

You don't get to call for calm, and fairness, after running that campaign, and delivering that Breitbart riddled inaugural address.
