'Focus' is the keyword lol.

Democrats aren't good at it. Getting out to march over a hodgepodge of social grievances is a different thing and an easier thing than organizing a grass roots movement that's *focused* on policy.

The Tea Party movement was an example of the later. They didn't waste a lot of time and energy taking to the streets---they started with organization at the roots. Their efforts were set against policy---government spending, out of control government, Obamacare and the like.

Social justice is an abstraction by comparison. If I was on their side I'm not even sure what a coherent movement would entail.

Maybe they don't either, so they take to the streets lol.

The left ended the war in Vietnam w/ protests & grassroots activity. They advanced civil rights (and don't fall back on the faux meme that "Democrats" were for segregation). They advanced issues related to equal pay, equal rights, the environment, education & healthcare.

Democrats are fantastic when it comes to organizing at the grassroots level. Honestly, you just say stuff.

The lefties last attempt at grass roots organization was the Occupy movement and it fizzled out. The other instances are debatable and happened decades ago.

Continuing on with our history lesson... The free states wanted equal representation in Congress, while the slave states wanted proportional representation. They finally compromised, and we got both the Senate and House of Representatives (albeit, with more importance being given to the Senate). One of the more misunderstood parts of the early Constitution, the 3/5 Clause, was a result of the slave states wanting to stack their power by counting slaves toward their share of representation. It was the free states who offered them 3/5 as a compromise, although, it obviously still hurt the north immensely, and is the sole reason that Jefferson defeated Adams in 1800.

The enslavement, exploitation, rape, and destruction of black bodies were the economic engine that drove the American economy. Thus, by both design and intent, the United States Constitution was a pro-slavery and pro-racist Southern document. The Electoral College was central to maintaining America’s white supremacist and slavery regime.

You're an idiot. Take note that the Democratic Party has NEVER benefited from the EC. Jackson got hosed by your dreaded US Constitution in 1824, losing to abolitionist JQ Adams.
