Much more disgusted than I thought

Don't even pretend that some righties didn't boycott Obama's inauguration.

Then give the list of the congressmen who boycotted it!!

Did any Republicans skip Obama's inauguration because they felt he was an "illegitimate" president?

On a congressional level? No. It’s a slightly uncommon move, much like electing a cryptofascist, going to war with your own intelligence agencies, or keeping your tax returns inside a hermetically sealed chamber three hundred meters below the Earth. Yet here we are. It’s amazing seeing what people can get used to.

Congressmen aren't suicidal.

boycotting, rioting, protesting, flag burning, smashing windows, burning cars, attacking Trump supporters......its all lefty pinheads causing trouble.....

and its been that way for some years now.....its always the lefty assholes acting like animals....Democrat supporters, Hillary fans, Obama fans.....showing the world what assholes they truly are.....

Feel free that tell us about the conservatives that boycotted Obama's inauguration....I don't recall who it was......
....and don't forget to mention the assholes that boycotted the Bush inauguration in 2001....

Awwwww did KKKhristiefan just get fisted?

Are you taking the over or the under?

Definitely the under. Consider that we had a high of 25% unemployment during the Great Depression. If you take our unemployment rate (or the higher percentage measured by the workforce participation rate), and add whatever metric defines people living under "crushing debt," and it's not close to 50%. Of course, the definition of that term will obviously spur debate, and, it is acknowledged that virtually every American lives with a certain degree of debt.

no point trying to unify with people who believe your "literally Hitler"

btw for the half of america out of work or buried under crushing debt that may be the america they are looking at.

Half of America is seeking work and unemployed? Do you get your facts from the same sources (Russian propagandists) as Trump?

Trump's campaign was putting out some hints that his speech would be like the speech after he won the election. Not so much, I guess.

THAT is what he starts with? What a dark, dismal view of America - and what a heap of generalizations in terms of how he's going to "fix things." And I don't care if people think it's a warm & fuzzy snowflake thing: after one of the most bruising, divisive elections in history, you HAVE to at least make a token effort at healing & unifying.

I don't think I have ever felt so pessimistic in my life, about anything. And I'm a Buffalo Bills fan who thinks they're going to the Superbowl every September.

There is a much larger picture my friend.

Trump is the lesson this nation badly needed .. and deserved. Democrats needed this lesson BADLY.

Democrats have been weak as doodoo and as corporate driven as are the republicans. In fact, even more so. Obama didn't win because of small donors. He won because he got more corporate money than any candidate in history. Time for the Democratic Party to do some real soul searching .. and to grow some balls.

Trump is the face of the Republican Party and the so-called 'white working class' elected him. The majority of Americans voted for somebody else. He has 4 years at best.

The bigger picture holds a much brighter future.

You morons on the left keep bringing up a type of vote that doesn't matter when it comes to electing the President. The majority of the electoral college voted for him which means he got a majority of popular votes in each of the 51 individual elections.

Since the popular votes of my state and the popular votes of your state don't work together and have nothing to do with each other, adding them together as if they do is only for those that pay attention to stats that don't matter.

Whether he has 4 years or 8 years doesn't matter. That he'll have more than Hillary does.

I'm taking the over because of student loans and credit cards.
