I'd argue that. Butyls often have that rancid odor but when it comes to major stink I'd say acrylates are just as bad and I can't think of anything organic that's smells worse than mercaptans/thiols.

The human nose is very sensitive to mercaptans. That's why they put it in propane. But, if you're around butanol for any period of time, you'll taste it all day. Butyric acid? Ick.

But, perhaps the worst ketone of all is phenyl-2-propanone. Or it's carbixylic acid friend, phenylacetic acid.
