The polls actually weren't wrong. The coverage of them was slanted - but the polls themselves were closer than they were in 2012.

this shows you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. The 2012 polls were some of the most predictable in the modern era. There isn't a single pollster that would say otherwise. The reason it was different this election was because of increased volatility, and they ended up being closer as a result of that, but not as predictable.

But they turned out to be useless with respect to electoral politics. At best, the polls were a gauge of what was going on in urban precincts.

The larger point was how badly they were interpreted by the bulk of the media. A one in three chance is a one in three chance. But you would have thought Hillary was a slam dunk based on the reporting.

Why do you suppose that was?

Sadly, this poll means nothing. As trump has already stated, 'I was still elected'.
When asked for his tax returns? 'I was still elected despite not turning them over'.

When asked about his heinous immigration stance? "I was still elected"

It's too late. He knows that he is free to bolster his portfolio, and nobody can do a damned thing.

The only thing we can do, is to humiliate him every day, and watch for his nervous breakdown.

If the last election taught us anything its the fact that polls can be slanted to predict anything you wish them to predict by simply asking a few slanted questions that target the final results requested.

But...then again... (wink, wink) progressive democrats are still using the same play book of failure concerning socialism they have used since the 30s and the great depression and campaigning on Alinsky's Rules for Radicals from the 60s...that accomplishes only one thing...a refresher course on social communism 101 that occurs about once every 40 years....i.e., a one time election win with each new ignorant generation of Americans that live through a socialist administration once before that experience turns them into mature conservatives. :) The only reason Barry Soetoro won twice is because of the duplicitous use of the IRS and HOME LAND SECURITY.....then came the electoral landslide victory for a conservative change of venue in 2016.

If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it over and over and over......And its more than insane if you expect different results each time history wills out. The progressive movement in a nutshell.

I vividly remember reminding the left wing nuts on this board concerning historical truth....right after Mr. Trump won the primaries. If the incumbent party is tied or behind in the middle of the summer leading up to the general election...game over, THE PEOPLE are pissed and demand change. GAME OVER. But...just as with this post....they laughed and pointed at polls....and declared Hillary will win in a landslide over that clown. :good4u:

The one that started this thread can stand behind the failure of polling for targeted results...but I just look around at the reality that surrounds me and conclude the simple truth. The main stream media that never researches anything and calls in the news using fake news...and the democratic party are in a nose dive going down in flames.

I predict one unexpected result concerning Trump's first year in office.....the unelected and unrepresented Intelligence Community will still be in a war with Trump at years end, the most serious problem confronting this nation as we speak. Its not Russia, its not Isis, its our own damn IC that has been behind all this fake news BS attempting to discredit a free election that slapped them and their need for WAR right..err...left in the face. They fear losing their unprecedented power.
