Thousands of US troops on Russia's doorstep in Poland deployment

It marked the first deployment of armored brigade combat teams and armor to Europe after a long drawdown from the continent. For decades, Poland had asked for help in keeping Moscow at bay, but at the same time, President-elect Donald Trump has signaled he could try to pursue a friendly relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Still, the president-elect said Wednesday nothing was off the table. "I don't know that I'm going to get along with Vladimir Putin. I hope I do. But there's a good chance I won't."

1980's called...and now Obama is taking a different tacked.
 
more cold war madness..I saw Lindsey Graham a few minutes ago on O'Reilly.
He absolutely will not condone any attempts to defuse the tensions..He's like "Putin is bad -we have to hit him."
O'reilly said "but if you do that -it's going to just be more of the same cold war"
Graham ignored that and just repeated his talking point that Putin has to suffer more sanctions.
 
Obama dithers and gives red lines for 8 years but discovers his inner cowboy at the 11th hour.

Something is up with all of this.

And it's a gang affair, not just Obama. In the last weeks of Obama's tenure he gets hawkish and starts working with republicans and vice a versa on the hawkishness.

I think it's weird.

Obama is out the door, and the Repub establishment has the long knives out -we knew this was gonna happen.
Trump either blows past them or gets sucked under..we'll see..hopefully the swamp critters get nowhere

Then there's that. Hillary hooks Putin up with some uranium. Then Putin hooks Iran up with some. Strong work, Hillary.

I can't envision Trump being anyone's puppet.
