Mattis gets his waiver!

I heard Mccain this morning..he was thumping the war dogs on Matthis...

"Presidents tried to work with Puin -i can't be done-he's a murderous KGB thug"
Matthis looked at him as the crazy old creep he is and just said "we have to be strong"or some such to mollify the old fart.

Mattis basically said there's more of an adversary in Putin than a partner.

Which is stating the obvious.

Yesterday, Rubio tried to get Tillis to call Putin a war criminal but the future Sec State, wisely, didn't go there. If he had, it would risk future diplomatic efforts with the Russians. I guess if you plan on going to war, just go ahead and call Putin a war criminal.

Smart man, that Tillis. Both picks are exceptionally strong, IMO.
 
Stand up guy. He handled himself well. He wasn't afraid to say he didnt know when he didn't, he disagreed with Trump on some issues and said so. Everyone, including Elizabeth Warren, was happy with the responses he gave, but she voted "no" for his waiver.

Underscores her whack-a-doodle behavior and her tendency to go off the reservation hunting for water buffalo...
