Affordable Care Act

BS. Fortunately you don't get to try and restrict or expand the language. A person who simply suffers high cholesterol would be in the free market paying as a higher risk than his neighbor who doesn't have it.

FALSE, before the ACA I was uninsurable due to my high cholesterol. I had been rejected by every single insurer in the local market. I went two years without insurance until Obamacare brought in what was called the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Program that filled the gap until the ACA could take affect.

I humbly accept your concession. If you can't explain why this wouldn't work, you should recuse yourself from the conversation

Oh I see, you want me to explain why it WOULDN'T work even though you have yet to explain why it WOULD work.

Typical dishonest rwnj nutjob logic.

Mandating what people can and cannot eat?

Mandatory exercise?

Whoops...there goes your desire for "smaller government"!

They don't want small government for individuals, they want small government for Corporations and small enforcement agencies for industry legislation. Its not personal freedom they want, its freedom for corporations to screw individuals.

Did you not understand his post? The freeloader refuses to buy insurance. Unless he gets hit by a beer truck and dies instantly, he's going to get sick. Then, moron, YOU pay. What part of that do you fail to comprehend?

And why do I pay?

How stupid that you love something so bad.

it will/is going to be repealed. 26 year olds are healthy, it's easy to keep. What's more, if the free market ideas are put in place, and they will be, it's even more affordable to let young working adults buy their own. Imaging a buyers pool of retail workers.

The tricky piece is definitely the preexisting condition. But working that out with individual states will be the only tenable answer- Still it can/will happen. Bye bye to Obamas crappy signature legislation.

How stupid that you support and voted for a bunch of self absorbed dummies incapable of coming up with ANYTHING to replace the ACA.

Medicare and Medicaid are run by the gobblement. They deny care all of the time. Facts are facts.

Maybe you should recuse yourself from the conversation. You apparently are without facts and can only respond on an emotional level

They deny access to the program for those who do not qualify.

Once you are in the program, they pay for whatever care your doctor orders.

We shall see. I don't love it, in fact their are major flaws in it, but it is better than what we had prior. It is a step in the correct direction. Republicans however cant fix it because they want to go in the wrong direction. The people wont allow that, even Trump has said he is keeping the pre-existing condition prohibition, which is the one reason the free market wont work in healthcare.
Trump did not say he'd keep preexisting conditions. He said he would look at what to keep and acknowledged that preexisting conditions needed to be considered- he already discussed just what I'm suggesting.

For those with a pre-existing condition who haven't maintained continuous coverage, the Trump administration would bring back state-based high risk pools, which were largely shut down after the Obamacare exchanges became operational in 2014. The president-elect's transition website says he will work with Congress and states to re-establish these pools.

What fucking ridiculous ideas these nutjob concoct, eh?

Better to add an impact fee on to unhealthy products like tobacco, alcohol, high sugar, sodium, cholesterol foods and use that money to subsidize health care costs.

But suggesting a "tax" to a wingnut is tantamount to suggesting self castration with a rusty knife.

'Murica.

Their are, and have been, more than 40 replacement plans that are written in legislative language. Paring them down is a task- but it will be done.

The stupidity is all yours.

Michelle Obama advocated a VOLUNTARY program of eating right and ignorant Righties with ODS screamed SOCIALISM and called her every vile name in the book.

Now suddenly it's a great idea!!

Trumpkin hypocrisy knows no bounds

BULLSHIT

You were not "uninsurable" because of high cholesterol. You would have had to pay a higher premium because your high cholesterol puts you at higher risk for a heart attack meaning you are a RISKIER customer. What part of that don't you get?

You went two years without insurance because YOU CHOSE to. You could have paid, but you CHOSE not to.

Why do you fucking lie?

Let me ask you this. Do you think someone who has a DUI, and three accidents in five years should pay the same premium as you who has a perfect driving record?

Stupid fuck, I have a great insurance package. Unlike you, I have employment that has benefits. For you, digging ditches probably doesn't. When Mommy and Daddy quit paying for your free ride, you decided to put your risk on the rest of us.

You'll die with us footing the bill, leech.

lmao guaranteed I make more money a year than you. I am not a low class prole. I don't get into what I do on here because it's none of your guys business, but i know for a fact I'm crushing most all of you.

ROFL!

Gosh Grind, I can't imagine what it must be like to be as brave as you!

Simple minded Grind tries to equate his supposed lack of "fear of death" with not taking any action to put off death if/when it ever comes for him.

I guarantee you Grind, WHEN death comes for you and it WILL come for you, you like everyone else will do EVERYTHING in your power to put it off for just a little while longer.

nope I wont. I find it hilarious how pathetic you guys are. It's literally incomprehensible that someone has principles and isn't a slave like the rest of you. You literally can't even imagine that reality.

are you seriously retarded? I wasn't advocating for those things in my post you braindead idiot. I was saying those things are the result of a government run health system.

And the outrageous taxes that support it as the services diminish year after year. Or the fact that the program is drowning in unfounded debt.

Imagine the same dimminishment for more than 350 million people, of which, very few contribute.
The NHS and State pensions are funded from National Insurance which everybody in work pays. I just checked and somebody on £100,000 who is aged 30 and married will pay £4427 in 2016-2017. Somebody on £50,000 and aged 30 would pay £3427. Does that sound outrageous to you?

The NHS has a policy of putting everybody with a cholesterol level of over 5.0 onto statins for life.

Do you have insurance? If you do, you sure as shit pay for the uninsured. If you're uninsured, you're a fucking leech just like this other douchebag.

But, why do the insured pay for the uninsured. Spell it out for me. I know why, I am trying to see if you really understand. I am also trying to educate you.
