Affordable Care Act

The ACA was going broke -or the insurance companies couldn't afford it-however you want to say it.
Keeping it as it was wasn't an option.
Americans want affordable coverage.they want some portability, and they want the kids to stay on into their 20's

Just exactly how you do that is what the Repubs need to figure out.

The whole "you have to have a replacement" is a phony premise. Just repeal it. The free market will take care of the rest.

Oh I know the snowflakes and idiots will kvetch, but that is all they need to do.

This is why I hate republicans, too often they accept the premises of the idiot leftwards. This is why my only expectation of Trump is the Supreme Court. If he fucks me on that, then he fucks me.

Republicans don't care about liberals. They care about their constituents.

They can't repeal it without a replacement at this point.

There are upwards of 40 replacement plans that have legislative language.

The most difficult piece is the preexisting conditions compliance. I think the only way to deal with that, is to roll those folks over onto Medicare. The rest can be handeled via erasing state lines as was done with auto insurance, allow co-ops in order to create buyer pools. Tax exempt HSA's, and catastrophic coverage options.

So they want to repeal Obamacare, but keep the pre-existing conditions and allow children to stay on their parents plans into their 20s.

What is it you want to get rid of? The problem with getting rid of almost Any other portions of the ACA is that without pre-existing condition exclusions insurance becomes even less affordable without the rest of the ACA.

If you don't get rid of the pre-existing condition exclusions you can't get rid of the individual mandate or the subsidies. What is it you want to get rid of?

what about the income requirements for Medicare? Not to be picky, but shouldn't that be for the poor?
But they wil lbe doing Medicade expansion -only by block grants instead of the imposition by the Fed law if they (states) accepted it
like Obama care..
It's a mess.

What part of Obamacare do you want to get rid of? The reality is they don't want to get rid of it, it has just been a political tool for votes and anti-Obama rhetoric.

it has to go..it's become the Unaffordable Heath Care Act. I'd prefer single pay; but only Bernie was really pushing that.

Why? Because you say so? Because you are such an expert on healthcare?

Of course they can repeal it. If they accept the premises of the left they will merely replace one gargantuan piece of shit with another gargantuan piece of shit. I reject the premise outright that the only way for medical care to be provided to the most people in a cost effective way is through the gobblement. Believe me, I have no illusion that I will convince you otherwise as you want to gobblement to provide you with your medical care. Because, you know they provide everything else to you so cost effectively........

Get rid of pre-existing conditions and allowing children to stay on your plan. They are what is bankrupting the system. The free market will provide.

Agreed. This is an unpopular opinion, but imo, health care is a responsibility not a right, no different than living a healthy lifestyle.
And guess what folks have the highest no show rate in health care provider practices. Medicaid patients.

Free market idiots. The free market is what was running prices sky high before ACA. How's it going to cure what it's primarily responsible for?

Someone must've double tapped your head.
