I was thinking about movies that have been made in Hollywood past and present, and it's politics have always been stated, it has always had a voice in politics and about political issues. It just hasn't been as obvious to some until lately, when the stars started to speak at award ceremonies and voice their personal messages.

Give me strength, most of her output has been chickflicks. Helen Mirren, Judy Dench, Cate Blanchett, Sally Field and Susan Sarandon are better living actresses. she as great in the French Lieutenant's Woman and the Deer Hunter and Postcards From The Edge.

Are you fucking kidding me? If you wanted to draw up a list of the last actors you'd want for the film whilst reading the Isabel Allende book, then you couldn't do much better than Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons. Miscasting on a epic scale, no wonder you liked it!
