It is because we have become a reality TV society where more people know about Honey Boo Boo then Locke or Charlemagne.

He sure did. Stiffing contractors, pocketing money through his many bankruptcies, ran a successful fake university plus having phenomenal success in grabbing pussies. Yes, he's succeeded alright. Succeeded in being the biggest ass hole president-elect of all time.
