Maybe a conservative can explain, the Repiblicans are going to "repeal" the ACA,

"it will have to be nearly the same to have good effects" e #260

I consider that a partisan assertion.
Single payer seems to be well thought of by many experts on it.
Yet single payer isn't much like ACA.

You may wish to revise your assertion.

healthcare savings accounts are a fucking joke

I find this an interesting point.

VP Biden said in recent interview that Democrats think healthcare is a right, and Republicans disagree.
If so, I'm strongly with the Republicans on it.

BUT !!

If we're going with it anyway, payroll deduction seems the effective way to proceed.
When was the most recent time you read someone whining about payroll deductions FICA or SSAN?

It is arithmetically simple.

If total system cost is $X, then all we need to do to pay for it is derive $X revenue to fund it.

It is not a perfect solution.
Some citizens may be covered that don't earn. Obviously then, citizens that do earn will need to compensate for that.

Got a better idea?
