Maybe a conservative can explain, the Repiblicans are going to "repeal" the ACA,

Competition is still fully encouraged. It just has to conform to basic coverage requirements.

I'd point out that the requirements in question are wildly supported by Americans as polls consistently show.

False competitions inside state lines by fewer and fewer companies due to dropouts of the program.

Not that it matters. Obamacare can take a hike along with the rest of his administration. It's over.

We either test EVERYONE receiving Government assistance - and tax breaks ARE a form of government assistance - or we test NO ONE.

explain how tax breaks are a form of govenment assistance. should the person who traded in his beater car for a new one, to get a tax break, be forced to provide a urine screen?

Several states allow insurance across borders. Insurance corporations aren't seeing the value in that. You need to dump that complaint or you're going to look like you don't know the topic.

I'm OK with replacing or reworking the system - though the ACA has solutions to problems that I absolutely want to remain solved.

What I am NOT OK WITH AT ALL is this idea of killing it, affecting every family in America, without knowing what is going to happen.

You're going to have to grow accustomed to not being OK with things for 16 long years. It's over.

I'm fine with a public option as long as there are also private options.

What you mean is "options" where you don't have to help those less fortunate than you get the insurance they need.

You got yours, everyone else can go fuck themselves as far as you are concerned, eh?

Unlike most of you I understand supply and demand. The argument here, no matter what side you're on, is pointless as long as this nation is bleeding physicians.

Not all Kool-aid the Republicans mix up is logically persuasive.

BUT !!

a) Republicans guzzle THEIR OWN kool-aid by the barrel.

b) While it may not be persuasive or even rational to an objective 3rd party, fellow Republicans swoon to it.

c) There are perceived benefits to ACA, no ineligibility due to preexisting condition for example.

BUT !!

There are also elements to criticize.

And Obama-bashing Republicans focus on them with zealous single-mindedness.

The obvious irony here is:

1) If Republicans dump ACA and don't replace it, they'll earn criticism for that.

2) If Republicans dump ACA and replace it with Trumpcare, the Democrats can and likely will criticize it with the same scrutiny the GOP applied to ACA.

It is wisdom as old as the hills, literally Biblical: live by the sword
die by the sword

Zappa thinks paying lower taxes is the same thing as paying no taxes.

I have never said anything even resembling the above, but am I surprised another JPP Rightie is willing to say any stupid thing to divert from his own ignorant comments?

Of course not.

it will have to be nearly the same to have good effects
