Trump's eagerness to completely discredit our intel gathering professionals for a perceived slight is pretty alarming.

At some point during this tenure, even his hardcore supporters are going to realize that this is one scary dude, who should never have been elected President.

Trump isn't discrediting intel professionals, he's casting doubt on the motives of some of the political hack appointed leadership. Those people will be gone when Trump takes office so everything will be cool.

You are WAY too dismissive of this. Your whole thing is that China is the "big threat" now.

Which hardly means that Russia isn't. It's not like there is only one threat in the world.

I do not "dismiss"any of this. I do not claim Russia is an allie
I do say to keep things in perspective.Yes China is an existential threat -and they are on a Defense building spree.

Do you recall Nixon playing the "China card?" ( triangulation). Play the Russian card -they are much more western oriented then China
That's what I advocate, along with ratcheting down the tensions/manpower in Europe

Why would they be otherwise? They are inculcated with republican loyalty training from Fox and right wing talk radio. It's just like voice of America did to Cuba only it's been trained on ourselves. I wouldn't be surprised if the GOP sabotaged local public libraries removing history books and replacing them with Regnery press books, and jammed npr signals.

They might have had some help from swing voters (aka uninformed morons) but it was predominantly far right conservatives who voted this clown into office.
