Paul Krugman - NY Times: America Becomes a Stan

IOW, because his intelligent, enlightened positions on those subjects don't agree with conservative moronic, backwards dogma, you find it more convenient and palatable to just write them off as not sounding intelligent.

Actually no, econ has no ideology. No matter how much you want a market to act a certain way you know in the end what it will actually do whether you want it to or not. And Krugman knows that but sometimes pretends he doesn't.

What has any of that got to do with what he wrote about in the in the OP?

His ego will be his downfall and the spiral has begun. Only 4 years of this cartoon character. DEFINITELY one and done.
It's going to be fascinating. He'll begin his meltdown rather early, as the criticism begins from both parties. He'll try to make any negative mention of him illegal(as it is in all other 'Stans'),as he really knows very little about the laws of this land.

His only concern from the day he paid extras to attend his announcement, has been to bolster his bottom line. If only Putin made public Trump's personal messages,we'd see that this was nothing more than a business opportunity for him.

Now, he'll get to sign bills into law that only benefit his portfolio. We already see the communications companies scrambling to kiss the ring, as they hope to skirt U.S anti trust laws in the future.

The country is fucked, but it will be a fascinating meltdown on Trump's part that will quickly make the world forget Mariah Carey's lip synch fail.

Econ has no ideology? Really? Then why do we have such budget/tax fights in Congress?

. How do you separate politics from the economy?
. Krugman is a Keynesian . He can't help it. lol.
Why isn't he qualified to talk about politics and you believe you are better qualified?
Where did I say I was better qualified? Where did I say he isn't? Anybody with an opinion is qualified.
He's just flat out wrong with his Keynesian BS stating a housing bubble created by gubmint was needed.
Austrian Economists get it right.

What is your Nobel Prize in?
What difference does it make? It's a meaningless prize. Ask Zimmy.
They give a peace prize for being half African who's not GWB. lol
You think they'd give an economics prize to an Austrian economist who gets it right every time?

Those are political fights. Setting a tax rate is not an economic statement.
Those are fights over economic ideology. Republicans don't believe in taxes. As such, they don't believe in funding their expenditures. Unless, of course, Democrats are in charge.

Oh God, where to start.

Those are not fights over economic ideology, they are fights over how much to tax the American people, they are arguing over an input not theory. Also, there is no such thing as economic ideology.

Doesn't matter who is in charge, Caesar gets his.

I detect a measure of jealousy in your tone.

Maybe if you all would quit electing morons and mental midgets like Bush and Slump, one of your people would get one too.

Those are not fights over economic ideology, they are fights over how LITTLE to tax the American WEALTHY people, they are arguing over an input not theory. Also, there is no such thing as economic ideology.

You're addressing the wrong person here. I never supported Bush II or Trump. They're too big gubmint for me.
