The Nation Is Divided Into Two Camps: Trump and Anti-Trump

It doesn't, but it does a better job than allowing states to do it all.
I don't know about that. It is a balance. Our nations system of governance is a bottom up system of government. It all begins at the local level and works its way up to the Federal level. Local, State and Federal governments all have their roles and we have legislatures at all three levels to determine what those roles are.

Just as the Federal government does not perform well in situations that apply purely at a State or local level, State and local governments certainly do not perform well on issues that affect the nation as a whole.

Agree on much of what you've said brother .. but the outrage and opposition is HUGE and growing.

Trump has fermented so much anger and rage, this is not going away quietly into the night.
I hear what you're saying but I'm in wait and see mode. Both parties coalitions have been so shaken up by the last election that I don't know where I stand personally with either of the political parties cause I don't know who their coalitions are.

I'm going to wait and see how that shakes out before I commit to anything.

Obviously brother you've never been black, or a woman. If you had, you wouldn't be talking about the value of states rights.

EPA is a valid federal role: Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act demand enforcement.
The problem is the EPA micro-managing into states purview (pond waters/ephemeral streams) .

Or draconian over-reach . SCOTUS has rules the EPA need only apply real science -not costs/benefits ratio when challenged..
But to look past real world effects is stupidly arrogance of powers. "we do it because we can" crap

Protecting people is in the Constotution, and Federal trumps State in those instances. The Constitution is a foundation on which this nation has grown. It is not stagnant, therefore, the laws change as the population grows and people and demographics change. We have become more inclusive and more aware that all people have rights, not just white, male landowners.

your phosphogypsum is a pefect example, if Florida would declassify the piles would disapper out around Bartow.

Understood .. but being much closer to the outrage then you may be, it's clear to see what's coming.

Keep in mind that I'm not a democrat .. they've been much too timid for me. But I've been watching and analyzing politics for a long time .. this is different .. and Trump will only fan the flames.

I'm going out on a limb here and guess you didn't vote for Cruz. What are your thoughts on Rand Paul?
LOL No not hardly. Left or right I can't stomach ideologues like Cruz who play to the extremes. They usually either don't know how to govern or simply can't govern and usually make decisions that either have terrible consequences or unknown consequences that later prove detrimental.

I think of Paul as I think of any libertarian. They remind me of neutered dogs. They bark a lot and rarely, if ever, accomplish anything. I think Mr. Paul is a far, far, far better human being and does the world far greater service as a physician (in which role I hugely respect him, Dr. Paul is widely regarded as a top notch opthamologist.) where he has accomplished far more than he has as a politician.

Who do you really admire and would love to have as president?

I could have gladly voted for Cruz or even Rubio instead of feeling dirty about having to color in the box next to Trump's name. Too bad I didn't have that opportunity.
I'm the other way around. I cannot think of a single politician since George Wallace who scares me as much as Ted Cruz does.

APPLAUSE :hand: :hand: :hand:

The wisdom of the Founders is that they were wise enough to know that they were creating a living document that SHOULD be changed as the population and society evolved.

Like Thomas Jefferson, I believe the Constitution should be changed frequently. For Jefferson, that was every 19 years.

how I wish the republican party cared about this country

Jefferson was also very much a strong advocate for states rights, agrarian society, and small federal government.
