China is the problem -not Russia. China has a dynamic economy -and has already shown hegemony in the S.China sea and Tibet.
They are on a YUGE defense spending boom - while stealing our technology.
They are the challenge to our Pacific power that the US alone bears defense for.

McCain and Graham are in Estonia yipping about "defending NATO" - if Russia ever went into the Baltics it's all over.
Obama is putting on more sanction for the hacking ( and to be clear here -no classified systems were hacked -just commercial accounts)
Further Obama signed the NDA to"create problems for the incoming adm" ( source the Hill)

Congress is trying to set up a dog and pony show (Select committee hearings) instead of Intel committee hearings.

McCain is frothing about both Obama and Putin, but will froth over Trump when he gets in.
All designed to hamstring Trump's triangualtion "there are already an enormous number of sanctions" (Obama)

the reactive forces are willing to keep the Cold War stoked with more tensions/sanctions.
Trump needs to know his enemies are not just the Dems -it's the war mongering reactionaries.

Trump is a master at manipulating his message lol. If he hasn't already figured out who his domestic adversaries are, once he does, its game over. And the establishment media will be helpless to do anything but stand by and watch it happen.

This is going to be great fun to watch.

beware the Long Knives of the warhawks in both parties. The American's are always afraid of the Russian boogie man.
Getting the stench of Obama's foreign policy out of the WH isn't enough

YES! China is the threat of the new century not russia. Russia does not have the economy to keep up. In fact the nightmare scenario of china is warmer russo-US ties. In a military situation thats a loooong uncertain border, on the economic front russia threatens the "new silk road" china is developing.

True dat.

It's true that 'Russian fear' is entrenched in parts of the establishment represented by the likes of McCain. But the voters are another issue. There's a generation of them that were barely born during the end of the Cold War. The challenge for Trump will be in articulating the idea that fearing Russia is 'dated': that is, Russia and the old Soviet Empire are two different things.

He's already done well with presenting the idea that China is a bigger threat on trade---which they are. Not to mention flexing their military muscle in the pacific.

^ yes to both posts above. The problem is Obama is ginning up the anti-Russian hysteria for the Dems, and McCain will do it on the Repubs
The press will naturally follow -there is a whole school of foreign policy ( like Condi Rice) that is anti-Russian.

Trump has to show the new deal is worth putting aside old grudges

dear fucking idiots

the WORLD hates Putin

both Russia and China present challenges for the world

just shut your lie filled fucking mouths and stop loading your dumb ass brain with propaganda instead of FACTS

an idiotic perspective for the yappers. ( not you). There are the Big 3 military powers, and then there is everyone else.
China has the additional facet of trade with US. One way to impact trade ( aside from the benefits of less money/confrontation with Putin)
is to put China's now un-threatened security on the table. Put in in the mix -add Putin to the uncertainity for China

The Truth hurts, huh Kock sucker?

No one in China gives a single fuck, retard.
who cares? China is pragmatic if nothing else. Putin has his land grab mostly secured,he needs relief from sanctions.

Getting rid of the sanctions ( and not imposing yet more) "triangulates" against China -the idea behind the OP
