Keep it up. You'll keep getting surprised by terrible candidates like Trump winning on occasion and more and more hard line right candidates in the house and senate. All I would have to do to start a grassroots effort to get me elected to whatever I wanted is to start with something like,

"The political elites think you're stupid for voting for [Bush, Trump, et al]...(point to some article like this). They think you're stupid for believing in God! They think you're too stupid to own a gun! They think your too stupid to participate in the political process! (A lie, pretty much, but would point to extreme opinions like some from Watermark's trolling in days past). Then... We may not have the degrees they do but let's show them we still have a voice! Let's show them their degrees don't necessarily make them smart! There's a difference between having an education and having common sense!"

Then just sit back and let them do most of my campaigning. That's pretty much what Trump did. I don't think he wins against someone who didn't have the baggage Hillary did but the fact is he still won. And he did because energized people ... not with degrees but with jobs...and people who wanted more jobs and, right or wrong, bought into the idea that he could somehow generate those jobs.

So just keep calling these people stupid based solely on their lack of college education and see how far that gets you.
 
This is something we've always known about conservatives... that they have a strong tendency not only to be backwards, ignorant and uneducated, but to harbor hatred, resentment and envy of those who are educated. This is also the reason why they tend to despise the very notion of education and try to undermine it at every turn.

Unfortunately, in this country, the majority of the population in the rural, less developed middle states, still possesses a low level of education and as such, votes for politicians who reflect their own simple-minded, ignoramus views.

Hence....

No, they're not stupid for lack of a college education. They're just plain stupid. They were gullible enough to buy the snake oil salesman's pitch hook, line and sinker. He played his ignorant base like a fiddle. Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it? PLEASE! Deport 11 million illegals. REALLY? On and on.

He's a fucking pathological lying buffoon with no clue on how to govern. But you guys bought his bottle of Dr. Good and we all will have to live with it.
