Obama-Trump and White Working Class Voters

Shut up sambo. Know your place. Nobody cares what you think. You are better off pickin cotton

:0) Here's the problem for racist idiots like you. Your bluster, your racism doesn't mean shit.

You're on a message board Jethro. The only weapon you have here is your intelligence. As you've just demonstrated, you don't have much to write home about.

Looking for a conservative here who can address what I've said with intelligence.

You're just some uneducated Bubba who thinks calling me 'sambo' says something about me. It says everything about YOU. :0) But you're too dumb to know that. :0)

Depends what he does in office. If he fails because he follows an anti-trade Keynesian economic program I don't see it that way.

Agreed that it depends om what he does in office. Disagree that the dynamic changes based on whatever economic theory Trump follows. White 'working class' Americans elected Trump almost alone. They seem to continue to believe that they don't need anybody else but themselves. They control the WH, Senate, and House.

Trump can do whatever he wants.

He's not even in office yet and is already rocking the whites-only boat. Hopefully you're not bothered by my use of race in this conversation, but that's who elected a talk show host as president.

Spotlight on whites-only political thought .. on the world stage .. with no camaraderie with anyone else.

The implications of his ultimate success or failure will have historic impact on the direction of this nation.

You're fixated on race when race wasn't a factor in the election.

I also militate, somewhat, against the qualifier 'white' in front of 'working class' when working class is inclusive of minorities.

Let me guess .. but race was a factor in Obama's election. :0)

Unintelligent to suggest that race was not a factor in this election .. simply unintelligent.

'Working class' does not accurately describe Trump's voters or supporters. White working class does.

Everyone has their own (political) issues they are passionate about. This board is big on the horse race portion of it. My interest in talking about will happen in four years when he hasn't even taken office yet just isn't that high right now.

Understood .. I'll just stick around and enjoy the show until you get around to wanting to talk about it. :0)

Obama was the first black president so obviously race factored into it. He got something like 90% of the black vote and a sizeable number of whites who wanted to vote for the first black president. I doubt that Trumps whiteness was an equal factor.

Race was a non-starter in this election. It was about jobs and change.

I see Biden is taking credit for realizing hrc abandoned the middle and working class (of all colors). I almost believe it. He comes closer to knowing those people exist and decide elections.

Thank you for the civility .. but there is absolutely no question that race was a HUGE factor in this election .. complete with Klan, white nationalists, David Duke, and a virtually all-white cast of voters who elected him. That's the point and its undeniable.

Blacks did not elect Obama. Far more whites voted for Obama than black people. A coalition of Americans elected Obama.

Trump's appeal was to white people only, and that's about all he got.

No coalition .. just lots of white people.

There will be no one else to blame.

With due respect that just isn't right.

Granted, Trump attracted fringe racists but there's no absolutely no way they could carry him across the finish line. Their numbers are just too small. Trump won on disaffected *workers*. People who wanted change. He won more than a few who voted for Obama the last two elections.

Trump has a broader coalition than he's given credit for.

What end game do you envision here if it's white people's fault?

All those groups voted for McCain too, and Bush, and Romney too....so whats your point....fact is, their numbers combined, are too small to make a difference in any election....
Blacks did not elect Obama. Far more whites voted for Obama than black people. A coalition of Americans elected Obama.
No shit, Dick Tracy....far more whites vote...period....every election,....so again you have no point....Hillary got 88% of black votes, Obama got 94+%
Trump's appeal was to white people only, and that's about all he got.
Trump got twice the percentage of black votes that McCain did, about 8%...and about 1% more than Romney.....Trump also got almost 30% of the Latino vote...Proving that this claim is BS >No coalition .. just lots of white people.

There will be no one else to blame.
The only person to blame is Hillary, corrupt, lying Hillary and a dishonest DNC....Wasserman didn't get fired for nothing. Lynch didn't get fired from CNN for nothing either.

Obama won because he's black...thats what is undeniable....Hillary was even liked by just everyone back in 2011 and still lost to a practically unknown Obama.

You're afflicted by your own sig, bac....time to face some truths and reality.

Bit lenghty but well put. Mr Trump didn't stay to true Conservative Doctrine. He opened to the door to populism and nationalism which brought over many of these working class white voters who felt betrayed by Obama and the Democrats.

What also pushed these WWC voters to Trump was the constant assult on their values. The Democrats decided it was better to just write them off, call whites racist to get out the minority vote, and they could still win. This is what's costing them the most IMO.

The fact that the Democrats turned their backs to them, and banked on Changing demographics to secure wins.

You schooling me about "truth and reality." That's funny.

Trump got 8% of the black vote, average for a republican, and exactly what I said he would get. Hilarious reading you touting 8% as if it's some hallmark.

He actually got 18% of the Hispanic vote .. a historic low for a presidential candidate.

He got 16% of the Asian vote and 24% of the Jewish vote.

Trump won a majority of white votes .. the only majority he won.

Point is, he's got all levers of government in his hands. When he fails, there will be no one to blame but Trump and his voters.

You voted for a talk show host who has never been in governmeny for president .. and you're telling me to face reality. :0) That's precious.

Translation, thugs like bac prefer thugs like Hillary and obama

538 said he got 29% of the Hispanic vote which is somehow more than Romney got

In record numbers, Latinos voted overwhelmingly against Trump. We did the research.

Figuring in the increase in Latino voters, Donald Trump received only 18 percent of the Latino vote, the lowest level on record for any presidential candidate.

I have no vested interest in one number or the other. Nate Silver has been the most accurate pollster over the last several elections. I've never heard of this other group

Trump's Pants on Fire tweet that blacks killed 81% of white homicide victims

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...mp/trump-tweet-blacks-white-homicide-victims/

The reality is that 82% of murdered whites are murdered by other white people. (FBI)

Trump isn't that stupid. He ran an openly racist campaign geared for white voters and he brought a white nationalist into the WH with him.

I'm not arguing the wrong or incorrectness of what Trump is doing. I'm arguing the beauty of it.

America is not the nation it pretends to be. It's in serious need of a cleansing.
