Incredible double-standard.
Is it?
The out of power side has been whining since at least Carter or Nixon. Though the left got a little out of hand under Nixon. The right whined under Clinton but it was garden variety partisan whining. You'll probably say the Clinton impeachment was out of hand, but Clinton brought that on himself: all he had to do was not lie about having sex with an intern; people would have forgiven and even admired his honesty in some instances.
The whining from the right stepped up under Obama. But he came in inexperienced, with questionable associations and promised 'fundamental transformation'. In short order, he tried to foist cap and trade on us but it failed and led to Shellacking 1.0. Obama followed that fiasco with ramming Obamacare down our throats; arguably the most ill-conceived piece of legislation to come down the pike in the last century.
It was passed without anyone but Jonathan Gruber knowing what was in it; and to add insult to injury, it was kept afloat by a medium sized flotilla of lies. A few told by Obama himself.
That led to Shellacking 2.0.
See the trend?
Both sides whine when they're out of power. In a functioning democracy that's their job, in a sense. But the left has gone next-level under Trump.
Frankly, I'm embarrassed for them.
I know it's early, but here's my advice for the day lol. Might as well get it out since I'm on a roll. These people need to channel their energy constructively or they risk irrelevancy. It's like their clueless that people---including many of their fellow democrats are watching and they aren't liking what they're seeing.
You guys just went down in an historic upset where many democrats abandoned their party for the republican. And if a democrat leader doesn't step forward and get a handle on it---you're going to lose more of them. When that happens, your party will be reduced to disaffected radical cry babies.
And a decade in the Wilderness becomes a strong possibility.
