electoral college and fairness...
Is democracy, one voter one vote not intrinsically fair?
“It’s not just whether your vote counts, but whether your vote counts equally. An electoral college vote in Wyoming was worth 71,000 voters. In Florida one electoral college vote was worth 238,000 voters. ... that not only violates one person, one vote; but also violates the principle of democracy ... “ law professor Lani Guinier

Point your missing is that Clinton didn't just win the popular vote as Gore did, but won it substantially, close to three million more Americans voted for her, regardless of where they live, the are Americans
so we give her all the votes from California, where she won by 4 million.....oh wait, she got all the votes from California.....even though Trump got over 30% of the vote......I ask you, is that fair?.....

she crushed it in California; that's where her popular vote victory came from; and it's possible we may only be Americans a short time longer as we are looking to secede.

Not really true. Donald Trump crushed it in a lot of states too that, if added together, would have a population equal to or larger than California's. It ultimately came out to a wash. Hillary Clinton won 7 out of the 10 smallest states. Donald Trump won 7 out of the 10 biggest. But Donald Trump ultimately won due to a series of narrow victories. There has never been an election before in American history where a single candidate won so many electoral votes by less than 1% of the vote:

No, because Congressmen and Senators by design represent the interests and concerns of their own geographical area, the President is national in scope and represents the Nation as a whole not one specific area

you mean a specific area like California?.....

Yeah, and doesn't that make you wonder?
