Obama's last days in office. What should he do?

#56

No.
Let the chips fall where they may.
Those stats were published about 2.5 years into Obama's presidency.
You're WELCOME to publish more recent stats. I don't happen to have them on file.

BUT !!

Wild guess, I suspect that trend extrapolates out fairly consistently.
"He never OWNED a home in Hawaii that I know of .....he just goes there at Christmas cause its all paid for by the taxpayers...." #58
a) WOW
What a whiner!!

b) I never OWNED a home in the neighborhood I was raised in. My parents owned it.

c) Was Obama not raised at least in part there? His certificate of live birth is issued from Hawaii.

d) Even if not, my sister wasn't born in Hawaii, but she's lived there over 30 years.
Other people go there for vacation.

Can you really make a persuasive argument that Hawaii is adequate for some to vacation, but not good enough for the First Family?

Can you name any other First family that did not vacation at the destination of their preference?

So what's your complaint? That Obama has better taste than Bush, who opted to vacation in Crawford, TX?
" its all paid for by the taxpayers...."
Unlike all the other presidents?

Oh.
Wait.
Just like all the presidents I can think of from Nixon on; and perhaps all the way back to Washington for all I know.

So you're bitter about Obama being treated like all the White presidents? That's what wadded up your panties?

Home?.....President Obama stays in this luxury beachfront rental for the holidays but the media named it the Obama Winter White House.

His last home was in Chicago and his new one is in DC....

He never OWNED a home in Hawaii that I know of .....he just goes there at Christmas cause its all paid for by the taxpayers....

He was born in Hawaii and it's a state, not some glamorous foreign destination. You need to get out more. I think the word "Hawaii" curdled your brain. And what president doesn't travel on the taxpayer dollars?

bush wasn't born in Texas either. You think his 480 days there cost less than Obama's eight Christmas vacations in Hawaii?

Better?

We turned to Mark Knoller, White House correspondent at CBS News, the zen master of data on all things presidential such as vacations, trips, news conferences and even teleprompter use.

He told us via email that Obama has been on 28 vacations (including long weekends) spanning all or part of 217 days. The president has just over four months left in his term.

His predecessor, Bush, made 77 visits to his Texas ranch spanning all or part of 490 days. There were also 11 visits to his parent's home in Kennebunkport, Maine, spanning all or part of 43 days. Total: 533.

But by Knoller's count, Clinton took the fewest — 174 days of summer vacations on Martha’s Vineyard and at Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Vacation ? I guess playing golf isn't 'officially' a vacation day, huh.

in the eight years he has been president, Barack Obama has spent 1200 hours of his work days playing golf instead of handling his duties as president, since he just celebrated his 300[SUP]th[/SUP] round of golf during his tenure.
If one assumes a standard 40-hour work week, that means Obama has taken 30 weeks, or over seven months off from work while he has been charged with running the most powerful country in the world.

And that does not consider at least one travel day to the course and one travel day back to DCD, assuming he didn't take a whole weekend to play....

In reality,
actually each and every round is a wasted day....almost a full year that he wasn't on the job, and travel time makes is even longer than that.

 Playing a round of golf doesn't take an entire day. I've played golf and as bad as I am it doesn't take an entire day. Plus, 1200 hours of golf divided by 24 hours in a day equals 50 days, not 30 weeks.

I understand you're compelled to put Obama in the worst possible light, but get serious already.

January 8, 2013?.....not really.....

Obama will be out of presidential office in about a month.

What do you think he should do with the time he has left?

What do you think he will do?

I think if I was an evil duplicitous marxist.....nearing the end of my manipulative authority....I might project a false and urgent emergency and attempt to sell it to the masses through the left wing media. Something that might allow Marshall Law to come into effect and attempt to make a permanent claim on the throne of power....something like, the sky is falling, the sky is falling RUSSIA HACKED our election, time for payback...launch a cyber attack of our own and lock down the nation for the expected retaliation of hacked banks, and life sustaining infrastructures controlled by cyber technology.

That is if I was an evil Marxist Bastard. :)

Who cares where he was born, I said he never owned a home in Hawaii....he lived in Chicago, that was his home.

So you magically appeared there at the course ? He goes on AF1, with secret service...with special limos.....you're so gullible its unbelievable ....
just the 4 or 5 hours it takes to actually play is irrelevant and strawman bullshit....

I guess next you'll be claiming that his ski trips only took the 10 minutes that it took to go down the mountain trail....

You claim that seven months of Obama's terms were spent playing golf and I'm the idiot? Check yourself...and your math.

I'm sure it took a lot longer, using AF!, the SS and special limos, to ferry bush to Crawford so he could spend months and months cutting brush.

If you think Obama surpassed bush since then by all means post your evidence.

Updated, Dec. 23, 2015: As he has in past years, the president is vacationing in Hawaii for the holidays. So we thought we would check in with Knoller, the CBS reporter who keeps track of presidential vacations, for an update. Knoller tells us in an email that Obama has taken “24 vacation trips of varying lengths totaling all or part of 182 days as of today.” This means that Obama as president now has taken more vacation days than Bill Clinton, but less than George W. Bush.

Who cares where he was born, I said he never owned a home in Hawaii....he lived in Chicago, that was his home.

-Pretty mean-spirited of you to criticize Obama for doing what every president does. Your messiah reagan spent close to a year of his administration at the ranch in Cali, bet a peep of criticism never left your lips about this.

"project a false and urgent emergency and attempt to sell it to the masses through the left wing media. Something that might allow Marshall Law" #67
Ironically, it's Trump, not a Democrat that has threatened that.
I claim no supernatural powers here.
But I believe the transition from Obama administration to Trump administration can be counted on to be free of their direct sabotage.

When Obama was inaugurated in '09 his oath was (as usual) administered publicly, but in error.
There may be minor problems like that. I do not expect a coup d’état from either party.

The issue I have with the argument that a President spends too much time playing golf or at their ranch is twofold. One is President's don't just take weekends off like most normal working folk. They are pretty much always on the job. The second is is it a bad thing they are away from their desk, especially if you don't like the job they are doing?

trump publically called on a foreign dictator to involve himself in our election

that dictator did

Now trump trashes the ENTIRE intel field for reporting on the FACTS

lock him up

lock him up

lock him up

Last day. Go golfing in Hawaii, circle the island many times in Air Force before landing and pass the fuel bill, lunch bill and all green fee costs onto an iou to the donald.
