Beijing 'seriously concerned' after Trump questions 'one China' policy

North Korea thinks that South Korea belongs to them. Argentina thinks the Falklands belong to them. Ukraine thinks the Crimea belongs to them. Thinking it doesn't make it true. Trump wasn't mistaken.
No, the issue isn't whether Trump is "mistaken".

The issue is that it made no sense for Trump to take the foreign policy step that he took.

It made a lot of sense. He's dealing from a position of strength and cutting out all of the Chinese bullshit before it even occurs.

Ok Mr. High-Information voter...what's going on with the steel market in China right now, and why?

I know this sounds obscure but it really does matter. You really should find your own sources on this and read. China is in no position to dictate anything to anyone. Picture the dot com bust X100, that's what they've got hanging over their head right now.
Their central planning is failing to provide robust GDP they are used to.

China Has to Stop Central Planning If It Wants to Progress Further
Epoch Times spoke to Woody Brock about why infrastructure spending is the magic bullet to rekindle growth in the United States and why China has overdone it;,,,,,
It’s top-down. That’s what China did. But stages four and five, which China is desperate to implement now, transition into a consumption-driven economy, is entirely bottom-up.
...
The government should stay out, but the Communist Party in China, which has refused to liberalize the state-owned industries …
won’t get out because they’re corrupt.....

True but they're still a third rate nation.
I suspect you are dramatically underestimating China.

They have problems, but lets remember that they have 4 times the population, which means that for every Trump or Steve Jobs or Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg they have 4.

For some years now, they have the fastest supercomputers in the world, designed and built by them.

Today Boeing sells 4 planes to Asia for every plane sold to the US - and Airbus sells them more than that!

They are dead set on leading the world in every way while WE can't get it together to work on high school - or pick a president who has a clue.

given that half of china is in slave status those bill gates will never be discovered.

That remains to be seen actually.

China isn't going to recognize Taiwan just because of Trump, obviously. That's off the table. But Trump is looking for a concession from China, and you don't get concessions by groveling.

I'm upset that among Trump's first post-election priorities is to keep poking at China - for no other reason than to show he's "tough."

He's not fit to be a world leader, and he's basically confirming that every day.

Being tough is drawing red lines and running away when they are crossed, like Obama did.

Am I right?

The libtards loved seeing America grovel.

They're going to miss that.

I thought the whole Trump calling Taiwan right after winning was essentially questioning the one China policy?

Yep...

It was a direct threat and should be considered as such...

If he doesn't get what he wants from china, he plays the Taiwan card...

Right. You think China is going to pay us something every time some new president or political fluctuation results in the US claiming we forgot about one China policy.

And, that is just stupid. China isn't going to pay us every time some new American idiot thinks there isn't one China.

If each new leader of China contested our occupation of Wake Island would we pay them something? Obviously not. We would look at them like they were IDIOTS.

And, that is what China is thinking of Trump today.
