The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is not recreation, hunting, self-defense, or home defense. Those are all useful things, but the actual purpose for gun rights is to overthrow the government. We call that talk extreme, now, but that was the mentality of the Founders.

That's not really true. The purpose of the second amendment was to raise militias to put down rebellions. It had exactly opposite the purpose you are ascribing to it.

Every one of the rights in the BofR has its own restrictions. The Second is no different. Want to test that? Take your popgun to the nearest courthouse and try to get through the gate proclaiming "shall not be infringed".
