not only does he question the quality of the football being played, but his conversation with the announcers is about as awlward as it gets.

Wonder what the cadets and midshipment would think if they remembered he criticized their Generals and attacked Gold star parents, not to mention he scammed the draft to stay out of the service when he was their age
 
I was annoyed, because he seems to pop-up just about everywhere else. Give me my escapism, dammit!

On a side note, after having kick-ass uniforms last year, it appears the academies had no budget leftover for this year's game.

I don't think they thought for a minute about "their" generals and probably didn't care for the politicizing of the death of their fallen comrade....but they probably thought of Bill Clinton's service and Obama's service and Biden's service or the lack of it would to be more accurate.

Good game though....congrats to the Army.

The Navy team and Navy fans looked just like Clinton supporters on election night....
The field looked like a Trump rally there was so many Cadets swamping it......

What's funny about the game is; out of the past 15 years of Army / Navy games, Army has won a grand total of once.

I can't rule out that it was a sympathy forfeit by Navy. If Navy wins every single year, it might make them look like bullies.

Trump is a media whore; one of the best. Some estimate Trump got $Billions in free publicity by making outrageous campaign claims; and then backing off of them after he'd derived the publicity benefit.

Start liking it. It's going to be like this until inauguration day 2021, and perhaps (gosh forbid) beyond.

It is a mistake to conflate patriotic loyalty with personal approval.

Love him or hate him; he's the maniac that will be determining whether they live or die.

I didn't introduce the word "tolerance". And wouldn't. Citizens don't place their lives on the line because they tolerate. We volunteer out of commitment. And while principle might seem to be the pinnacle of that commitment; in practical terms, the pinnacle of command is the POTUS.

The word I used was "loyalty".

I deduce that you are not an honorably discharged United States military veteran.

If you were, you wouldn't need to have it 'splain'd to you.
