The only thing fake about it is Trump assigned a numerical figure to the number of illegal voters. It would actually be interesting to know how much we can subtract from Hillary's win in the popular vote. But since democrats stand in the way of voter ID there's no way of knowing. Which we all know is precisely the point. They might as well drop the charade.
And if we can't know the numbers, it follows there's no way they can prove Trump is lying lol.
They can spare us outrage over the general subject of lying and fake news. Arguably the biggest fake news lie of 2016 was 'hands up don't shoot' which was shamelessly propagated by the same media who now complains about fake news.
The method behind Trump's bullshit-madness is that he uses hyperbole to call attention to issues. He does it too often to be lucky. It's difficult if not impossible to get the media to focus on something like illegal immigrants voting.
So Trump throws a rhetorical cherry bomb in the fire, via Twitter so the media can't spin it or ignore it, then the next thing you know it's a hot topic and inconvenient facts start trickling out.
He's a master at it.

More than enough to give Gore the election in 2000 making 2004 moot.....and if Gore had demanded a recount of the entire state instead of demanding a recount of only democrat strongholds, 3 counties...he might have won the election, if the courts would have allowed the recount to move forward. I fail to see your point. An illegal vote is an illegal vote regardless of which party received that illegal vote. Its a simple fix. Mandated Voter PICTURE IDs with a valid social security number that has been vetted during the registration process. Easy Peasy, Lemon squeezie. The left has no problem whatsoever in providing these simple form's of ID when they sign up on welfare, even the old grannies somehow jump on their rascals and show up bright and early at the local department of health and human services....if they think someone is missing with their foodstamp allotment.
