China has played us for fools. For example on climate change, anyone who thinks China cares about climate change needs a brain transplant. They would have the rest of the naive developed nations hamstring their energy policy while they build coal fired plants, all the while, paying lip service to climate change regulations.

When I left work at 5 yesterday is when I first heard about this story. I got home and watched the UW-Colorado game and dealt with a screaming four week old for two hours who quite possibly made me death. This child is definitely going on the Voice at some point in her future because her lungs need to be put to use in a positive way. I just woke up to work out and go to work again this morning. So no, I have not had a chance to see China's response.

LOL, the football was on in the background, the kid wasn't being ignored. And it wasn't two hours straight. Part of the screaming was because my dumb *ss accidently woke her up after we put her to sleep.

My point was not everyone is reading the news on a Friday night when Mott questioned why we all didn't know China's response.

Trump chooses to cozy up to dying powers like Russia, that will only betray him in the end, rather than pursue a respectful relationship with rising powers like China. China should be our ally, not Russia.
 
Aggression against a rising power is foolishness. China will eat our lunch within a decade, and we've just ticked them off for no reason other than pride.
