No charges for cop who shot guy in North Carolina

Looks like I'll have to avoid Charlotte again, at least for a little while until the weather gets cold. We have a little balmy streak going on now.

What I find amazing, is that liberals will make every excuse in the book for a guy who makes those bad decisions; but expect the Police to be mind readers and KNOW the intent of the other person, when that person makes those bad decisions.

I'll share something that probably wont come back and bite me in the ass so I'll keep it short.
I train cops to use a handgun. Many agencies. Been doing it for years.
Most of these recruits in the academy have never even held a pistol. Much less use one. Many (not all) of them drop their gun first time they fire it.
They are scared shitless and I have yet to meet a single gung ho shoot em up kid in any academy.
Most of them cannot hit the broadside of a barn. I read recently 90+% of all rounds fired by cops miss. I believe that!

I can believe this and I also think that one of the reasons for the number of shots missing, are because of two things:
1 - They've never been in the situation before
and
2 - The adrenalin rush that naturally occurs.

One of the reasons that most militaries use automatic fire, is not to kill more of the enemy; but instead to insure that at least some of the rounds are on target.

you would know most firings are not meant to hit the perp
