Miami sports writer rails Kapernick for Castro shirt

Castro was a mixed bag. Certainly the Batista regime never served the Cuban people.
At least the castros did improve the quality of life for everyday Cubans

Love this article calling out Kapernicks hypocrisy for wearing the Malcolm X/Castro shirt. I'm sure this is a sad day for some liberals who admires Castro's evil but the world is a better place without him.

You should be smarter than this.

Cubans were FAR better off under Castro then when they were under the thumb of American puppets.

Care to challenge that?

I dare you. :0)

Sure. We just recently sold our condo on 7mile beach in Grand Cayman. Had/have lots of Cuban business owners we were/are close to the past 20 years. Go spew your bullshit to them friend. They are Cuban citizens that paid off the corrupt communist in Cuba and freely traveled back and forth. It was all about the Socilaist elite class. Fuck the workers. Your clueless.....Castro fucked them in the ass. Your trying to compare a 1950's regime that was basically ran by the Mob to a free society? Really? Hillary was/is the elite class. The workers stood up to that bitch. Deal with it.

It's not that hard of an argument. For starters people speak with their feet. There's a reason thousands upon thousands upon thousands of Cubans risked their life to leave Cuba and it's not because life was too good for them. You're a socialist, I'm a capitalist so we obviously aren't going to agree. But when even PBS calls Castro an evil dictator and the Cuban people have suffered from economic distress and political repression.

It's a much harder argument than that. People come to this country everyday from somewhere else. Americans move to other countries everyday for a variety of reasons, including political.

What percentage of the Cuban population left Cuba for political reasons compared to the millions of Cubans who stayed?

Any idea what the Cuban people did when America came calling to 'rescue them?' They fought against them and sent them back where they came from.

Care to compare the Batista, US, Mafia rule of Cuba to the Castro era? Or have you never studied that? Just went along with the crowd?

Education and illiteracy, healthcare, and the quality of life of the Cuban people was never a priority for America. Only profit.

From one of the most illiterate countries in the world when Batista and the US were running Cuba .. to having one of the highest literacy rates IN THE WORLD. Number 9 as a matter of fact.

From having basically no healthcare available to rural Cubans, and little to none available for most other Cubans .. to having one of the best healthcare systems on the planet today, AND today, Cuba has the highest number of doctors in the world.

Healthcare is free to all Cubans cradle to grave.

Are you aware that American students go to Cuba to be trained as a doctor?

Are you aware that Cuba leads the world on many medical innovations .. like with cancer?

The narrative of Castro as just some backwoods dictator works on people who get their news and information from television.

This may be a deeper conversation than you cae to have good brother.

the argument "Castro was a dictator" reminds me of the same with "Qadaffi was a dictator"..not the exact same but the parallels are there.

Both peoples were better off with the dictators then what western imperialism/arrogance tried to impose.

Under Batista corruption and systemic poverty was widespread -it was a pure oligarchy.
