????.....I just said I have no problem with you taking huge amounts of your favorite illegal drugs and you conclude I am opposed to individual liberty?......I am opposed to exceptional ignorance and I believe you are demonstrating that today......I would say the sooner you get started on those drugs the better for all of us.......

The Point is, Individual Liberty cannot be worse than Prohibition.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniencies attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it.

I hope drug abuse, and not drug use is the issue.
But it's worth mentioning, "miracle drugs" like penicillin are rapidly losing their efficacy; and monster pathogens like MRSA* are emerging apace.

We face the real prospect of no longer being able to do basic surgical procedures, for lack of ability to control post-op infection.

$Then we can have a friendly chat about whether it makes sense to do something so foolish.

Don't talk crap, it is virtually impossible to go straight to Mars and return the humans back to Earth in one piece. The hardware needs extensive testing in a space environment and the Moon is the only sensible choice.
