So, do you realize you've been conned yet?

gay marriage is settled. SCOTUS is not going to bring it up again .

I'm not a fan of any extremism -right or left _ and I'm no fan of sessions either. But gay rights is the least of my worries if he starts curtailing civil rights

His primary role would be a prosecutor so he has to work within the law.

Don't fall for the fear mongering.

Only a fascist would describe a popular vote as "mob rule."

As usual, your ignorance is profound, and disturbing.

The US is a democratic republic.....do you know what that means? What the electoral college is ?

Are you calling our Founding Fathers fascists ?.....

poor thingy.....

The Comey letter did little, the Comey testimony under oath sunk Hillary

Your opinion, and it literally means nothing....

And last but not least.....Trump isn't the president, he can't do a thing until he is....so you conclusion is a might early....
Its like claiming your pregnant mare is giving birth to a champion....

Writings already on the wall. Yep. He's a liar. Said anything to get elected. Care for a tic tac?

Politicizing positions and institutions is part of the swamp.

IRS, DOJ, EPA...it all needs cleared out of political and ideological hacks.
It's very EZ/convenient to slime up the swamp while in office.

Why work with Congress when you can just use a "pen and a phone"?
I get a feeling Trump is gonna like the art of dealing with Congress; so we'll get legislation instead of executive orders

My sense exactly.

Currently there's a call from some quarters for congress to obstruct as a payback for what republicans did to Obama. What these people are missing is that Trump is no Obama. Obama was inflexible. If he couldn't get congress to move on Cap n Tax, he bi-passed them with the EPA.

Trump is flexible and non-ideological. As I've said before, he's closer to Clinton than Reagan.

Which is the worry for conservatives. But it's a good worry after 8 years of gridlock and the pen. It's important for conservatives to stay engaged so Trump doesn't deal-away his mandate.

Bravo you are proof that a little knowledge (too little) can be a dangerous thing.

I think you are right. despite the campaign rhetoric - I do not see him as an idealogue .
And we know he likes to deal -so getting deals done with Congress should be doable.
Just make sure he doesn't go too far astray. I'd be happy seeing him as a get 'er done moderate

We have a really good shot at that, imo.

MAGA..get it done. that's the "mandate"

I meant 'mandate' in the sense of why people voted for Trump: turning back Obama era regulations; improving border security [with or without the wall lol]; taking a more direct stance against radical Islam; renegotiate trade deals to where they put the country first [economic nationalism]; drain the Swamp etc.

The other 'electoral mandate' is more elusive. It exists more as a concept than something concrete, imo. It's partisan rah-rah stuff.

i got you the first time -i was merely affirming your position .
( thanks to RUNE I have my "likes/groans" turn off as he went nuclear with the groaning)

I do expect some improvement on physical barriers ( wall). It's too easy for a future POTUS to do the Executive order cop-out.
Yes on the mandate too. It's a question of internecine haggling by the Congress/POTUS

Thats all they have left....insults, groans and name calling....
See how often they ignore the facts of your posts and resort to the above and just disappear from the thread..... like thingy and desh

The only way I could possibly be "conned" is if I had voted "for" something Trump said. I voted to elect "NOT Hillary", I couldn't be "conned" even if that meant I voted for Trump.

Understood, and I've said quite a bit that I 100% get those who simply voted against Hillary. I'm not really holding them accountable.

It's the voters who were genuinely gung-ho about Trump, and bought the whole act. Those are the marks.

Can you at least give Trump 100 days before you start with I told you so's lol?

Why 100 days? Why can't I judge what he's doing as he goes along?

His first moves & statements show him to be as clueless as I knew he'd be. I don't think he thought he'd actually win, or really wanted to be President.

You love to do your "imagine if" thing. Imagine if Obama had put Rev. Wright somewhere in his admin. Imagine if he said a family member could broker Mideast peace because he was Jewish & had traveled to Israel.
