Fans of the Islamic State are celebrating the election victory of Donald Trump, convinced the Republican candidate's anti-Islamic position will alienate and anger many people around the world and rally more to their cause.

"He'll rule with undisputed control and this will lead to open conflicts with many people," said one person on an ISIS forum Wednesday. Vocativ found several threads created on ISIS channels after the election results became clear, with users noting "good tidings with the demise of America." In these threads, the terror group's supporters claim "Trump will put the final nail in the coffin of America" and that "the world is on verge of exploding, and this stupid who came to power will push the button of defeat." On Twitter, ISIS supporters wondered "how a stupid person like Trump can lead the infidel nations."

...at least one prominent forum user, who goes by the name al-Fajr said, that Trump might increase American involvement in the war as a show of strength. America "will sink in the mud," he wrote. "He will send its army, navy, and air force, and they will become entangled in the swamp and will never get out of it."

Now. How do you know ISIS wanted Clinton to win and not Trump? Simple there were no mass terror attacks a couple of days before the election.

now that putin wants to normalize relations with the US how do ISIS's chances look?

Relations between America and Russia are already normalized. I don't think you know what that word means. Typical Trump supporter. Should've gotten an education instead of sitting in flyover country and whining about how you deserve to be paid more. I fucking worked to get where I am. I bled. Entitled fucking Trump supporters think they deserve to get paid 100k a year for pushing a button.

Most of what we hear from ISIS is propaganda. Probably especially true when it comes to our domestic politics.

But yeah, it's hardly in their interest that we normalize relations with Russia.
 
ISIS is right to be pleased. In 10 years, I suspect they'll control the entire middle east, maybe some of southern europe. All thanks to Trump supporters.

But it's clearly in ISIS' interest for the West to be fractured instead of united. We don't normally think of Russia being 'Western' but with respect to radical Islam they are.

I think Putin understands that.

Russia is a western country by tradition,religion and alignment.
It's only recent that they are turning more to partner with China ( lots of reasons for that -few of them good)..

All Russia is doing is bombing the crap out of Syria -essentially becoming Assad's hi-tech air.
But I agree we have 2 diferremt goals in keeping Aasad in power, or "negotiating" (Obama's stance ) him out.

In term of ISIS at least we have the same goals.
I do not see any split with Russia as enabling ISIS, except for Russian bombing of anything that moves in Aleppo
including "moderate" rebels

Russia is a western nation by those metrics. But they aren't considered part of the West in the Cold War paradigm.

I sense Putin might be interested in a paradigm shift. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
