Good things about Trump...

“Well, I’m starting to think that people are much more focused now on the economy,” Trump said. “They’re getting a little bit tired of hearing ‘We’re going in, we’re not going in.’ Whatever happened to the days of Douglas MacArthur? Either do it or don’t do it.”

Trump continued: “Perhaps he shouldn’t be doing it yet. And perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations.”

This is a policy statement? Perhaps. Or perhaps it's vague on everything but Trump's waffling about as he tries to gauge the political winds.

I've been working this morning on good things I can say about Trump.

I've come up with a few... but the best of them is this...

I think he will be a better president than GWB was. Trump was brave enough to call out the Bushes (and Clinton) on the Iraq war. That was not necessary going to be a popular thing to do in the Republican primary. I respect that. Hindsight is 20/20 but at least he did it, no other Republican was ever going to do that.

Their is also this.

I do like that he is, in some ways, an outsider. He is not beholden to any financial interests or to the Establishment Republicans. I like that. I think he is a bit beholden to the Evangelicals but its their last hurrah so let them at it.

I like that he is himself, he presents his honest self to the public, flaws and all. All other politicians (actually most professionals) present their most polished and refined selves, and I like that he does not hide his flaws.

I think he is truly going to try to make America better in many ways. He says he is not going to let people go without quality healthcare, I hope that is true. He agrees that the gay marriage issue is decided and need not be disturbed, and if that is true access to abortion services must also be decided.

I think the man has an honest heart.

:truestory:

It will be interesting to see if he puts his financial interests in a blind trust like all recent presidents have done.

I think its amusing that you've just spent the last year campaigning for the most corrupt person ever to think she should be president and you want to imply that Trump might be a little bit as bad as she was........

Can you now explain your "landslide" comment or are you just going to hide from this and hope it goes away? :dunno:
