Democrats are always looking for a scapegoat. I see why third party candidates might be attractive but it's not productive nor accurate. Democrats lost because the anti trade union thugs voted for Trump. They did not just not turnout as expected (blacks, millennials), fail to deliver the net percentage advantages as expected (latinos, blacks) or vote for third party. They voted for Trump in large numbers.
If you are upset about the effect of third parties then you need to do what Maine has.
