I'm actually excited about election night

I could care less. This isn't something earth shattering or life changing event, like going to a Led Zeppelin concert. Do your civic duty and vote your conscience in as informed a manner as possible.

When all is said and done we're all on the same team and will still have to work with each other come Wednesday morning. So try not to get carried away with all the political squabbling. Remember our institutions are far more important and valuable than the people who temporarily lead them. As long as most Americans keep that in mind things are going to be just fine. :)

I called and asked and was told that the individual vote should override the straight ticket box and so that's helped put my mind at ease but I hate having the doubt. That's lazy and unconscionable Norah. Just because a person has an R or a D next to their name doesn't mean that they are fit for office or better qualified or even competent.

In my defense there were a lot of races on my ballot that were only republicans running and no challengers so it was either leave it blank or vote for them but in most cases a republican is probably going to have more in common with what I believe than a democrat would. The main things I was wanting to vote for was president, our US representative, the railroad commissioner, and the constable who my parents are friends with. A lot of the other things were a lot of judges but I don't know much about them and so I figured if they are republican then most likely they share more in common with my political beliefs. I hope that makes sense.

I respect and love the marines but that's not for me. My brother is in the Corps of Cadets at A&M though and is going to be in the military. As for life I love this life. The smell of hay is one of the best smells in the world and being able to work with horses that I love is something I wouldn't trade for anything.

I had my fill of farm life raising pygmy goats and showing in 4-H at the fair. Perhaps, one day, I will get some more of my own to raise again.

The people in our election are filthy rich, educated, and more importantly, smart, and quite accomplished in their professions.....

I did vote a split ticket though I heavily favored Democrats as currently I align with that party better that the GOP of which I was formerly a member off.
