Can't remember a more overblown scandal than Hillary's emails

you can keep saying no one cares about the emails or it's overblown but it's very clear this is an issue that resonates with the american people. Perhaps you should ask yourself why, and ask yourself why you seem to be so out of step with the majority of the country on this issue.

The majority? Hardly.

Tip of the iceberg. Clintons terrified of real issues here with Comey's search. Biased and bought DOJ stalling granting approval to proceed as FBI hitting real pay dirt with Clinton Foundation muck in those 650,000 emails exposing the whole money laundering operation. THIS is why she wanted a separate server. It's getting good now.

Everybody's bought and rigged if they don't agree with you RW morons. That goes from Clinton to "activist" judges, doesn't it.

Face it. You're self-proclaimed victims. Poor fucks.

I'm not "fine with it," and never said I was. What she did was stupid, and there were 104 emails in there w/ additional classification. It surprises me not at all that a hack like Podesta would immediately want that kind of action taken.

It doesn't change the fact that this is a completely overblown "scandal." I mean, we pretty much KNOW that Comey is no Dem partisan now, right? Where is the criminal activity?

lol. Even now you dont acknowledge the FOIA issue. Notice COmeny did not say one word about it either?

Congress was dumb. They should have been investigating whether the email server violated FOIA in any way. But they wont because our establishment doesnt want foia anyway. Hence #draintheswamp

I'm not sure if there is a more honest expression of gullibility than thinking Trump will be a champion of the FOIA.

I didn't leave anything out. It wasn't my intent to rehash all of the details of a story that has been exhaustively covered for a year and a half, with still no indictments or findings of criminality.

then your missing the main issue why this thing wont go away. Comey did not even mention it in his acquittal speech.

If ou don't find breaking laws to cover up fraud and corruption on the part of a cabinet secretary who collude with the president in the process a big deal I can't imagine what would qualify for you

Just to flesh this out a little, let's look at Comey's letter on Friday as a microcosm of this entire scandal.

He went out of his way in the letter to state that the FBI could not assess yet whether or not the new material was significant. But is that the way it has been discussed and reported? Is that what most Americans have heard about it?

People are busy. They catch sound bytes on the news and hear whatever is out there, which in this case was Trump & a lot of sycophants on the right yelling as loud as they could that it was now "worse than Watergate," and that the content in the new emails was obviously "devastating." Literally, there was nothing new that came out of Comey's letter, but it has dominated coverage since Friday and the general assumption is one of egregious misdeeds and guilt.

Blame that on the press. Sucks to get hyped by those assholes - doesn't it?

But that is not an "entire microcosom" - it's just another piece of the puzzle
( and how in the hell did they get there?? - gotta be some gross negligence from somebody))

The proportion of duration & coverage to actual harm done is absolutely out of control.

That's because youre an ignorant cunt, the scandal isn't the emails or the server the scandal is the purpose of the server IE to circumvent the FOIA to prevent it from coming out that she has through the Clinton Slush Fund Foundation been selling US foreign policy to foreign interests, that is why they made sure that Podestas best friend is heading the investigation of the Foundation and why Lynch is blocking the FBI all together. Clinton and all of these scum bangs are due for the rope for their treason.

It's a similar parallel. The only difference there is that it depends on whether you believe the accusers or not.

I think they're all credible & their stories are consistent with what Trump was saying on tape & his general m.o. Therefore, as a candidate who I think is guilty of sexual assault, it's a big story to me.

If you think they're all lying, then yeah, it's just "locker room talk," albeit a little creepier than most.

and they all just happened to come out less than 30 days before the election. I find the most credible accusation to be the slut cunt shill bitch from People who claims he assaulted her while she was interviewing him and she doesn't break the biggest story of her career for no reason. You are either a complete or total shill or a complete and total retard.

not that she is just a hawk -she's an innate interventionist -being a hawk isn't bad, it's how you operate that counts.

The emails by themselves wouldn't be so bad if they ere just a "mistake" -they were set up to deliberately avoid FOIA/transparency.
Then look how she handles it - everything she said turned out to be lies starting in that March 2015 press conference.
She dissembled constantly , and finally said the "FBI showed she never lied to American public"- another lie.

Hence, the parallel to Watergate. Watergate started with a twobit burglary but Nixon lied about it and ended up with impeachment.

Hillary's lying was done in order to cover up whatever she was hiding in the emails that were bleached or destroyed. Likely, something to do with her foundation.

It's very easy to argue that it's worse than Watergate---because it is.

Man, there really isn't anything that Trump can say that you won't parrot with conviction.

yep. her corruption is systemic..she feels above the law, and practices her behavior with ill regards to norms.
Why in gawds name would anyone want her in the position of POTUS? she can run wild.

The proportion of duration & coverage to actual harm done is absolutely out of control.

Did Hillary screw up? Absolutely. But we're talking about 104 emails out of 30,000 with any additional classification, and none that had any real information that would be harmful to America or compromise our security. It was careless & stupid, but it's slap-on-the-wrist stuff.

It's not criminal, it's not "worse than Watergate," it's not "corrupt." It was stupid. That's it. No way should this be in the news every single day for a year, or the central focus of an opposition campaign.

And sorry - but if the candidate was a dude, or didn't have the last name "Clinton," it would have been a minor story & blip in the campaign.
thats like saying you dont' know why anyone should get excited about a shooter that put a bullet in somebodys chest....it was only one bullet out of a box of 1000 that he had....

If its 'slap on the wrist stuff' why are there dozens of guys in prison, or fired from their jobs, discharged from the service, or paying huge fines for doing 10% of what Hillary did.....

I just wanted to make sure everyone saw this analogy. Did everyone catch this?

Overblown to those that find Comey's decision practical; what Hillary did was exceedingly reckless, but apparently inconsequential.

Underblown to those that think, priggish rule following aside, sensible national security procedures whether explicit or common sense, should not be violated.

In most cases I'd be w/ the "underblown" crowd. Mindblowingly stupid of Hillary.

But in the shadow of a Donald Trump presidency, I'm grudgingly willing to grant a little leeway.
I don't much care for disasters. But I suppose they're preferable to cataclysms.

Not at all. It is the same w/ Benghazi. The same people who barely blinked an eyelash about Bush's unnecessary 10-year war that was rife w/ incompetence and tactical mistakes - as well as THOUSANDS of lost lives - are crazed about it.

Total double-standard.

It just won't sink into your thick skull that the Iraq War was AUTHORIZED, in a bipartisan vote, by the Congress of the United States.....
If you'd like to compare it to the Vietnam War, have a ball....but

Its not even a near miss to compare it to the Banghazi terrorist attack and our failure to react to an authorized war.
