RIP GOP? Experts say Trump will be a force of party chaos and division long after the election

The Republicans were having trouble unifying and rallying behind GOP nominee Donald Trump during the primaries, and many are jumping ship just weeks before the Election. At this point, it’s unclear what the future of the party will look like after November 8.

Can the Republican party as we know it survive after the Election? Experts suggest the GOP is seeing an “unprecedented level of disunity and chaos,” according to ABC News.

No, conservatism and conservative values will never die. The party will never give up its free-market, anti-abortion, evangelical, American exceptionalist ideals. But with Trump, some supporters are moving beyond the party.

There has been a growing divide between the traditional Republican establishment and those who align with the aforementioned principles, and those who openly identify with Trump’s violent anti-establishment, white nationalist, misogynistic alt-right movement.

The followers of Trump extremism — which perpetuates and legitimizes a narrative of white genocide and white supremacy through its anti-immigrant, anti-black, anti-Muslim, and pro-policing rhetoric — extend beyond the Republican party’s Reagan era.

No doubt there is a political revolution brewing that was born years ago.....personally, I think it started with Bill Clinton being exonerated in the impeachment trial....by a partisan Senate or his own party....

Later, he literally confessed to perjury, lost his license to practice law, and paid a hefty fine but was let off the hook for his criminal activity...so the political wars began....

Hillary's exoneration with Benghazi and her emails made it worse....an undeniable movement has begun with Trump being drawn into the middle of the fray, through no fault of his own....

Trumps winning or losing will not be the end of this political war and the GOP may well be one of the first causalities....and that will be totally their own fault....

People are pissed, a minority so far, but its growing as people finally realize how they've been taken by the elites in Washington that are more and more using there power over the population in an unjust, unfair and un-constitutional manner...people see the IRS, DOJ, FBI, and CIA are more politicized than ever before....and the Constitution becomes less and less relevant,

Obviously this is only my opinion as an observer .... so you may agree or disagree as you wish....

This administration has politicized everything it touches -some directly benfitting Clinton-but politization is self is dangerous to transparent open government

The party will never give up its free-market, anti-abortion, evangelical, American exceptionalist ideals.
getting there...for everything wrong about Trump -his blowing up the establishment is a big plus

You hit the nail on the head. I don't know where the movement goes from here.

Does it peter out? Or keep moving?

It reminds me of the French revolution. And after all the war and fighting, the monarchs took right back over. Even the same family line.

Let's call it what it is, it's non college educated whites who are largely the most mad in the context of which you speak. And that by itself isn't enough to start a revolution. Unless these whites are going to join with blacks and Hispanics to form a new movement but do we really see that happening?

ThnX for your opinion......... So what does "the GOP being the first casualty" actually mean??

I believe many ppl are pissed, & rightly so & that something is going to happen, but not being in the party I can't say exactly how this all plays out...... How do you see this playing out??

I think he is correct, it keeps going~that anger isn't going to dissipate regardless of who wins or loses....

not hispanics no. As a political group they have the most to gain from illegal immigration. I do have hope for blacks as they have the most to lose.

It means you will see a political realignment. In Brexit you saw the alt-right with UKIP take the lead but the most labor friendly places voting with them. We are headed towards a nationalist right and a globalist left which is in line with the rest of the worlds direction.

so uneducated whites such as yourself think you're going to start a revolution with only whites? Ok.

So your "revolution" is dead before it starts. Congrats
populism is a difficult lift. afterall for the differences in the Dem's and Republicans -what do thy have in common?
Being DC politicians where gridlock is expected, and inane politics the currency.

It' not going to be enough for non-college whites to do this - especially when other groups look to the government
as their base of power.
Hopefully americans of all demographics get tired of the blatant incompetency -and then they'll demand accountability.
Throw the bums out.

Populism is a very difficult lift. You need LOTS of incredibly stupid people to buy-in to it. Then you need them to outnumber more intelligent voters, or for the latter group to have low turnout. Last, you generally need some douchy demagogue like Andrew Jackson or Donald Trump to take the helm, and ride the wave of retardation through the finish line.

i demand you bring back the peanut picture to match your level of saltiness!

It'll come back, but Philly Cheesesteak has been calling me "football jersey" for some time, and I'm quite enjoying it.

Nothing can be more moronic than watching ignorant liberals predict the demise of the GOP. What we are seeing is a cleansing of sorts. The unfortunate side effect will possibly be losing the congress once again.....but if it rids us of the professional politicians who still stupidly think the DNC isn't trying to destroy them, then GOOD!

A Trump victory in November will send a message to BOTH parties that Americans are fed up with the status quo and the trillions in deficit spending of which the bill will be placed on we, the sheeple. It is time for Americans to wake up and stop pretending that compromise equates to higher tax bills to the rest of us.

A Fair Tax, term limits, a ban on all Federal subsidies and abolishing five Federal Departments will go a long way towards getting back the country.
