Hillary gave just a bit over one million to charities last year. It was all legal, but it was to me a bit strange when I found out that one million of that was donated to the Clinton Foundation, i.e., she gave it to herself for a tax deduction. I guess that says a lot about her.

Tex tax code is terrably unfair, and Trump likes it that way, its one of the ways he got rich.
 
Trump will do everything he can to keep the tax code unfair, HRC is going to do everything she can to fix it!

Except that when one of the Clintons donates to the Clinton Foundation, they don't donate to themselves. Their charitable contributions go to charitable uses.

On the other hand, Trump pays his own legal fees from the Trump Foundation and buys items (like portraits of himself) for his own use. That is illegal.

This is an important distinction to keep in mind.

I haven't seen anything that shows Clinton would fix the tax codes to be more fair to the middle and poor classes.

From what I've been seeing both Clinton and Trump would keep the tax code unfair, giving most breaks and exemptions to the wealthy.

It's just that Trump would make it even better for the rich than Clinton would. A LOT better for the rich.

Do you think she is any different? She shielded $1 million by giving it to her slush fund foundation.

I have heard lots of accusations of the Clinton foundation being used as a slush fund, not surprising during a campaign, I have seen no proof. If elected the Clintons have stated that their foundation will be managed by a blind trust as long as she is in office.

As long as that's the case I see attacks on the Clinton foundation as just another partisan ad hom attack.

Clinton hasn't given details on her code, so "how can you see" her keeping tax code unfair? And remember, Congress plays a role in this as well. Change won't come till Congress cooperates.

Did Trump break any laws? It is a very easy deduction that EVERY citizen can utilize.

If you sold a house for a loss you can carry it over.

But it is clear the establishment will do anything even break the law to take down Trump and you applaud the law breaking. What does that say about you?
 
My brother hasn't paid income taxes for decades but like Trump, he is in real estate where you don't make money from income. But make no mistake, he pays a lot in other taxes. And he gets audited every year because he does not fit the mold.
