A gunman opened fire at a strip mall in southwest Houston early today, injuring several people, officials said.

Police say they shot the suspect after shutting down surrounding streets in what they had initially described as an active shooting situation. Victims were taken to nearby hospitals. The exact number and severity of injuries is unknown.

Police said they do not believe there are any additional shooters.

Nine people were injured when a shooter opened fire at a southwest Houston shopping center on Monday morning, police and fire officials said.

The gunman, who was not identified, was shot and killed by police, authorities said. The man, who lived near the shooting scene, was a lawyer and there were reportedly issues between him and his law firm, interim police chief Martha Montalvo said during a news conference.

Several guns were found in the man's car.

Where does the 2nd Amendment permit people to commit such crimes with guns?

The 2nd Amendment allows me to OWN guns and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it but cry.

You mean LIBERALISM IN ACTION? Enlighten us....just how has LIBERAL POLICIES and gun control stopped the gun violence in places like Chicago, NY City, Houston, Miami...Washington DC etc.? You want to stop gun violence? Why is it the left continually attacks the constitution while protecting criminal rights, but its constitutionalists that are to blame...not the failed the liberal policies that have more US citizens per capita imprisoned than any other nation on earth? If this idiot who shot so many unarmed innocent victims where to be put to a timely death IN PUBLIC...the next idiot would not be so quick to pick out a herd of innocent victims who have been disarmed by liberal policies.
