"right" to immigrate to the USA - Clinton

Closed borders didn't even exist until after WWI. So, 99% of human history, we have been living in insanity.
you are living in some weird incarnation of the past. Normally I'd just write you off as a flake -but sadly your ideas aren't disowned by contemporary Democrats

99% of history they didn't use a flush toilet or take showers, so what..........

Since she has not laid out what that actually means it is difficult to say much more, but I don't recall any democrats, or anyone ever saying everyone has a right to come here...??

Do people around the world have a right to move to the United States? It's a bedrock belief of most conservatives that there is no such right. The U.S. sets its own immigration policy, admits whom it chooses, and foreign nationals in foreign countries have no right — a claim that could be pursued in court — to enter the United States.

Now, Hillary Clinton says there is such a right, at least if a tweet from her campaign headquarters can be taken for a policy pronouncement...

So far the only source for this story are Tea Party rags like the examiner. I find it very hard to believe, given Clinton's legal background she would make a statement that is at odd's with U.S immigration law. And no, a tweet coming from her campaign headwaters would hardly qualify as a Policy Position. We do not even know who sent this tweet, but it is clear Clinton did not. When something sound too absurd to be true, it often is not true.

it's not necessarily about immigration law, it's more of the philosophy of open borders -or whatever the hell the attached story about the Libyan immigrant was supposed to be about.
It's from her campaign headquarters - would you cut Trump such slack?

No, Trump is on the record of proposing a wall, and rounding up illegal immigrants in a mass deportation scheme; it did not come from a tweet from some obscure person at his campaign headwaters.

It is all about the law, a comment made by Clinton claiming "immigrants have a right to come to the U.S" would show complete ignorance of U.S immigration law. That is very unlikely given her long background in Government service,as well as holding a law degree, and a member of the BAR. Until Clinton actually says as a mater of policy "immigrants have a right to come to the U.S", I consider the story hogwash.
