Killer cop to face trial

Betty gets charged with 1st degree manslaughter. Not sure what that means, myself. Anyone out there able to explain the nuances of such charges?

Here's what the Law Firm of Oklahoma says. It's not much of an explanation.

"Although the penalties for a manslaughter conviction are often less severe than those associated with a murder conviction, they are still significant and life-altering. First degree manslaughter, for example, carries a minimum sentence of four years in prison. While that term is a mere drop in the bucket compared to the life without parole possible in a first degree murder conviction, being separated from one’s children, family, and friends for a span of four years or more can be devastating."

Four years is a small price to pay for ending an innocent man's life.
She should be charged with murder 1.

Grand juries are too sympathetic to cops, they're always willing to give them a benefit of a doubt no matter how negligent they are. Already lost a lot of cases against cops because of overcharging. A little justice is better than none.

She will never see a day in jail for this. It is a stupid charge that cannot possibly survive court room scrutiny. If someone is refusing to comply with lawful commands, they cannot just do anything that pleases them. She will have a case and she will be exonerated.

The problem with this situation is that because cops are now told NOT to use force on an uncooperative suspect in the name of Political correctness, often, the only alternative is deadly force instead of knocking him to the ground and cuffing him.

You can thank the LibTards and leftist media promoting the false narrative encompassed in BLM for this death.

Funnier still how you and other shit-in-their-pants liberals think you have all the facts.
Time will tell and as you correctly point out, we don't know all the facts. Having said that the charges against her state that she over reacted and escalated the situation into a lethal situation. Even if she is found not guilty or the charges or dropped I seriously doubt she ever wears a badge again.

That doesn't exactly mollify anyone when a police officer takes a life when it wasn't necessary but not in a manner in which they can be held criminally accountable cause often in these cases there are either mitigating circumstances or the police officer just made a bad mistake. However, you can draw the conclusion that this person acted incompetently and is not well suited for this profession, which would make it difficult for them to ever find a job in law enforcement. Which is probably a good thing.
