Yes you have a right to protest, but as an employee your employer can set standards you must follow. And if you don't be released.

From the foundation: only white males that owned land had any say whatSOever.....

IT WAS SET UP BY & FOR THE ELITES...........

The gument didn't just give us the 8 hour work day, ppl died for it.... Child labor laws?? Unions etc etc

Ppl fought to get rid of jim crow, if they hadn't he would still be alive.........

There was no don or hillary to save us, ppl had to fight & demand.....

Now it threatens to ruin the NFL. One of the last pillars of American spectator sport.

Can Colon or any other "protester" tell me the real reason for their protest, other than attention whore seeking behavior?

What injustice are they protesting? Give me one specific instant, of cops getting paid leave for "killing blacks."

The elites -yes (it's like a mantra with you guys that we must mention this)..but "we the people" self corrected by a civil war and legislation and Amendments to include everyone. As I mentioned before the slave states would not ratify if we had abolished their slavery.
It was a long hard road to get rid of slavery, and secure civil rights, but we did it.

SCOTUS affirmed collective bargaining..but 'da gubmint' doesn't guaranteed 8 hour days ( nor should it)-
but it does guarantee the right to form unions ( with exceptions)..

All in all it works out like the founders set it up to form a more perfect union.

Sure, but did that happen?? NO, it didn't.......:dunno: Hell white women couldn't even vote

I don't agree it worked out how they planned....... They set it up the way they planned, no one forced it upon them.......

It was only the ppl demanding/fighting/dying that changed that-as it was then, so it is now........

This was the 1700's- the only people that had any rights were landowners..
I wasn't saying "it worked out like they planned" : I did say we self corrected (an important point) but that the Constitution allows for that-
by amendments, and where it wasn't able to be amended without a Civil War, we did that too.

We got civil rights and voting rights by everyone -regardless of color or sex, creed.

One thing you might consider is we have no class system either.
No Lords and Ladies which means everyone is now born equal under the law
at least from a legal .p.o.v

They passed a few of those amendments after the southern rebellion but the actual black vote in the south came in what century??

THe actuality of that did not come about by the amendment-it was worthless & unenforced, it was the ppl, sit ins, boycotts etc that got it done..... What don't you understand about that??

right. But the amendment was the legal ground for the fed's to enforce it.
It took the Voting Rights Act and a desire to do so. But again those are gov't functions (legislation as well as enforcement)

It's because of federalism (state sovereignty in this case with Jim Crow laws) that the south as able to delay
And it's unusual for fed'l law to be delayed like that - now with the challenges to NC's law -it's ruled on and enforced
at the same time.
Challenges to state laws under the Voting Rights Act are heard speedily and enforced.
