Saudi Government Links to 9/11 Shouldn’t Stay Secret

For more than 13 years, 28 pages documenting specific indications of foreign government support of the 9/11 hijackers were hidden from the American people.

Declassified on July 15, 2016, the 28 pages revealed a web of interconnections linking Saudi government officials, members of the Saudi royal family, suspected Saudi intelligence operatives and 9/11 hijackers.

Among those revelations:


  • Saudi Prince Bandar—the ambassador to the United States—made payments to an avowed supporter of Osama bin Laden who boasted of helping two Flight 77 hijackers in San Diego.
  • An unlisted phone number linked closely to Bandar was found in the phone book of al Qaeda associate Abu Zubaydah in Pakistan.
  • Zubaydah also had a phone number for a bodyguard at the Saudi embassy in Washington who was under an FBI investigation prompted by his suspicious behavior in approaching U.S. intelligence community personnel.


The U.S. and Saudi governments claim there are innocent explanations for these and many other disturbing coincidences found in the 28 pages and other declassified documents. If so, the people of the United States and the entire world deserve to see the full evidence for themselves.

I think the ties to SA as a government were never shown -although there was probly some connections to individuals.

weren't these already published since de-classification???
 
Duh been saying this for years. All of Islam is evil and cursed. We shouldn't be allies with any nation that endorses Sharia law, or Wahhabism.

:rolleyes: It's not about Islam. It's about our government kissing up to the government that supported the attack on our country.

On Saudi Arabia's potential motives in the attack

My speculation is that Osama bin Laden, armed with 30,000 warriors(?) who had just played a major part in removing the Russians from Afghanistan, threatened the kingdom that if it would not provide him assistance in a plot that he was developing, and realized that would require some support from inside the United States, and knew that the Saudis had the capability to provide that support, threatened the kingdom with civil unrest if they did not do so."

AQ has gone after SA since AQ was born. It's part of bin Laden's manifesto
that SA has ties to the west, and the west had bases there.


Graham is able to see the obvious :palm:, and make up stuff where the facts don't support his craziness

If it was all so innocent why was the info suppressed for 15 years by both bush and Obama?
 
Though 9/11 was carried out about 8 months into the Bush admin. it was obviously planned and put into action before he became president.....maybe Graham, being a Dem.

shouldn't be too eager to find out exactly how it was conceived and carried out.....like Hillary might say, "what difference does it make now"

Seems odd to me that so many members of the Bin Laden family were in the US at the time of the attack....very foolish IF they were privy to what was about to happen.....they obviously didn't just arrived here and were in the country long before the 9/11 attack.

In his first interview since the attacks, Saudi Ambassador Bandar bin Sultan, also said that private planes carrying the kingdom's deputy defense minister and the governor of Mecca, both members of the royal family, were grounded and initially caught up in the F.B.I. dragnet. Both planes, one jumbo jet carrying 100 family members, and the other 40, were eventually allowed to leave when airports reopened and passports were checked.

Mr. bin Laden is estranged from his family. One of his two brothers in the United States called the Saudi Embassy frantically looking for protection, the ambassador said. The brother was sent to a room in the Watergate Hotel and told not to open the door.

Most of Mr. bin Laden's relatives were attending high school and college. They are among the 4,000 Saudi students in the United States. King Fahd, the ailing Saudi ruler, sent an urgent message to his embassy here saying there were "bin Laden children all over America" and ordered, "Take measures to protect the innocents," the ambassador said.

because the info wasn't certified as being accurate to put into a formal report.
Some of it is hearsay, some rampant speculation -but none of it proven to beyond a doubt. 9-11 report was supposed to be fact based

? It was a formal report. "The classified 28 Pages of the Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 report have finally been made public, although in redacted form. It took fourteen years for the public to see this document, which was classified by the Bush Administration."

It was part of the report but because much of it is unfounded - it wasn't released as part of the original report.
At least this is my understanding.

In the end, however, the 28 pages conclude with testimony from FBI and CIA officials who say that the matter of Saudi government involvement in 9/11 was a question that needed to be further investigated. It was, and American officials repeatedly have stated their conclusion: There was none

The Saudis were in some way culpable and everyone paying attention knew it. All that is/was missing is the particulars.
