Fox in turmoil!

Tom....that doesn't have Jack Shit to do with it. One of these days young men and their parents will figure out that their political leaders don't value their lives in the least and are more than happy to sacrifice their lives to advance their careers or line their pockets. Most wars would probably stop then.

What this has to do about isn't about sexual harassment per se, it's about buying silence. Gretchen Carlson probably knows enough skeletons in the closet with enough supporting evidence to cost Fox News far more than $20,000,000 in material damage. If not...they wouldn't be paying her anything. $20 mil can buy a whole lot of silence.

I swear those women must know something that'll bring down the entire network. It's unprecedented to pay out all that money and offer apologies. And other unnamed people got paid off also.

"In another sign of the company’s desire to put the issue behind it, 21st Century Fox said Tuesday that it gave monetary settlements to “a handful” of Fox News employees who had complained about being harassed by Ailes. The company didn’t identify the employees or the size of the payments, but it said the employees came forward during an internal investigation of the claims against Ailes."

I know that perfectly well, by any measure it points to a truly sick and deeply immoral society.

20 million is chump change to a major network lol.

They probably wanted to avoid the bad PR in having the trial drag out forever.

Oh no kidding. Just think about what a drop of just a couple of points in viewership means to a cable network in revenue stream. Fox's nightly cable news average is less than a tenth of the major networks combined. Fox News revenue stream was projected to grow by 15% this year. If a major scandal was to cause them to lose that growth you'd be talking about 150 million dollars in lost revenue. If this has happened at one of the major networks you'd be talking potential revenue losses of around 500 million dollars. For one of the major networks a loss of 1% in viewership represents around a $100 million loss in revenue. For Fox a 1% decline in viewers would represent $20 million in revenue loss.

A scandal in which there is an endemic culture of sexual harassment at the highest level of management could cost Fox News significantly more that a percent or two of lost viewership. So the large sums of money they are disbursing to shut people up is probably money well paid.

Kind of like what I said but I didn't want to type so much.

So what are you more offended about...

Gretchen Carlson getting 20 million to settle her case,

or

Rodger Ailes getting 40 million to leave Fox?

Neither. If compensation was owed for sexual harassment, and paid- good. If settling a contract of an employee that has brought harm to a company is paid in order to sever ties- good.

So apparently, not much of a turmoil as Gayrod had hoped for. FNC is run mostly by adults, not whiny losers like MSNBC....

ROFL!!

Fear mongering Trumpkins hear Hillary cough and jump to the conclusion Hillary has Lung Cancer.

But Jarod concludes two women leaving Faux News at the same time might be related and the petty personal attacks from those same fear mongering Righties commence immediately.

Who said I was talking to you...

A persistent cough could be a symptom of a whole host of maladies including lung cancer, throat cancer, oesophageal cancer, tuberculosis, emphysema, COPD, asthma and pneumonia.

Dimbulb Rightie arrogantly assumes what he likes.

ROFL!!
