I don't agree with the logic [if you can even call it that] behind the Obama administration's use of absurd euphemisms in reference to Islamic terrorism. But it's inexcusable for the AP to do it.
 
Did anyone ever refer to those who bomb abortion clinics, or murder abortion doctors as 'radical Christian terrorists'?

Did we talk about 'Christian Terror' when the Americans and their little doggie Bliar attacked Iraq and murdered tens of thousands? No, because they were only technically Christian - it was what they called themselves, not what they were. It is exactly the same with ISIS, as the haters know very well, but they never let truth get in the way of their desperate urge to spite and kill, do they?

Nope. Political correctness is self explanatory.

It's been deemed *politically* incorrect to utter the phrase radical Islam---for purely political purposes. In contrast, radical Islam is the most accurate discriptor for radical Islam. Radical Islam is what it is.

Insanely, the Obama administration purged FBI training manuals of terms like 'jihad' because they were deemed politically incorrect.

Cultural Marxists appropriated it in the cultural wars by deeming terms like 'queers' or etc off limits. Well, gays can call themselves queer but it's strictly off limits for straight white males. In fact, if I were to refer to gays as queers on this forum, some wag would call me a bigot. PC is enforced in that manner.

Abortion becomes reproduction rights---you get the idea. Pretty much any time you encounter a euphemism you'll find PC lurking behind it.

PC has been taken to an uber-absurd level on college campuses [as if the garden variety wasn't absurd enough lol] with their trigger warnings and safe zones.

Its more like cultural conservatives are political dupes who allow cynical bastards like me to manipulate them with divisive wedge issue to vote for my political gain.

Back in the 80s when I was active in my home area, a rural agricultural region of mostly German Catholics and Kennedy Democrats they said the area would never vote Republican but we intentionally used wedge issues, mainly guns, God and particularly abortion, along with racial resentments (them blacks are gonna come up here and take your jobs and marry your daughters) and we had spectacular success getting those suckers to vote for our political interest when we really didn't give a shit about guns, gays and abortion as was proven by our legislative record.

Now the area votes reliably Republican. It has also become a rural ghetto where only the big farming families make a decent living.

I thought Europeans and our liberal secularists prided themselves and their respective countries as being post-Christian lol. It would be more accurate to say 'the post-Christians invaded Iraq'.

I always feel like I'm having to explain the obvious in these debates.

Islamic terrorists act on singularly religious principles: if you listen to them they will tell you. Without Islam, there would be no jihad or jihadists.

In contrast, 'Christian invaders' conjures the image of the Crusaders. Even though they died out centuries ago. Ironically, with all the handwringing over us enabling ISIS propaganda, ISIS would like nothing better than for the West to resuscitate the term Crusader.

In short, there's a distinction between actors acting on purely religious principles and actors or nations who happen to be this or that religion.

ISIS is Islamic.

They hijack the religion & use it as an excuse for their own agenda.

KKK did the same thing. In a way, you could argue that the the genocide that we committed to populate America & Manifest Destiny were ultimately based on people hijacking Christian principles.
