Barely a month after making inflammatory comments about homosexuals following the terrorist massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando, a local pastor is in jail for allegedly molesting a boy under 16 years old.
Ken Adkins, 65, is being held in the Glynn County Detention Center without bond on one count each of child molestation and aggravated child molestation.
The alleged offenses are said to have occurred at Adkins’ Greater Church on Altama Ave. in Brunswick, as well as in a vehicle and various other places.
The investigation originated with the Brunswick Police Department. The GBI took over the investigation at the request of Brunswick police and Jackie Johnson, District Attorney for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit Court.
