Hillary Clinton solicits debate “ideas" from wealthy donors

Speaking to wealthy donors at a fundraiser on Monday evening, Hillary Clinton asked for some advice about going head-to-head with Donald Trump.

“I want any of your thoughts or ideas about how I should debate Donald Trump, just to name one thing,” she said. “Seventy-one days left in the campaign and I am not taking anything, anyone or any place for granted. This is the most unpredictable electoral season that I certainly can remember and I am running against someone who will say or do anything.”

Clinton mentioned the upcoming debates, the first of which is scheduled for September 26 at Hofstra University, in her remarks at a private event in East Hampton on New York’s Long Island. Clinton is on her second day of a three-day fundraising swing there and reporters traveling with her -- and waiting in the basement of the host’s home -- overheard what she was saying.

“I do not know which Donald Trump will show up,” Clinton said. “Maybe he will try to be presidential and try to convey a gravity that he hasn’t done before or will he come in and try to insult and try to score some points.”

why is it always the wealthy and well to do have her ear? Why not solicit ideas from average people -maybe use a web site or something.

All she knows is pandering and pay to play. She's an oligarch-that's her circle

lol..reporters are shown to the basement..I mean is this not typical Clintonianism at work?

I'm surprised that got that far though -they can't ride on the same plane as her, and most times they are banned
from fundraising.

I can't believe she hasn't asked KKKhristiefan or GayRod or Legion Fag. I mean after all they do for her here on JPP

Hillary is the anti-Trump lol.

Note the disconnect: she says [correctly] that this is not your average election year and it's not. There's a lot of voter dissatisfaction with the way DC operates---on both sides of the aisle.

Hillary should have learned from her fight with Sanders that people don't want to hear about wealthy donors---much less, what they say about how he county should be run.

Hillary is the Queen of Status Quo running for president in a year much of the electorate wants change. You have to wonder if she's not in bigger trouble than the polls are reflecting. Trump is getting all the big crowds.
